Missed out on the Turbo mags back in the day? Didn't miss them, but do really "miss" them (;))?

That link seems to be missing the VG&CE October 1992 issue spread about the Turbo Duo console and it's specs...

Were any of the Turbo Force, Turbo Play and Duo World game magazines distributed in the bookstores like Walden's Bookstores, Stacy's, B.Dalton Books, etc. back in the early 1990's? It was no problem finding such EGM and EGM2 but such speciality Turbo Grafx-16 & Turbo Duo gaming mags seemed to be non-existant back in those days...could it be that they were subcription-based to begin with?
