What's this motorcycle arcade game called?

Post by zinger »

Think I played it sometime around 1996 (when I was about 10 years old) so I don't remember much from it. It was futuristic, with a setting a bit like Extreme G or Wipeout and you had melee weapons for attacking left or right. I'm pretty sure you sat down on a physical bike and tilted it left or right to steer.

Any ideas?

Wow, I need to find this someday:

I like the melee combat idea; less "line up behind them and blow them away" like in Extreme-G, and more like Mad Motor (by Mitchell) except not top-down and crap. :)

Sounds a bit like Road Rash from the description. God, they should remake it for Wii. You could wield the chain by spinning the remote around your head.

Wow, I had no idea. I never saw this or knew it existed.
Thanks for the heads up. Road rage vs f-Zero!

Robin reckons nobody can stop her, but she sounds pretty unconvinced by herself..

My local arcade has this game. It's nothing special imo.

If they remake *this* game (which, really, isn't very good at all) before they remake Planet Harriers, somebody DIES!

Have to admit this is quite apparently true...it's a racing game with a bash button. Also, it's very short and the scenery doesn't interest me much... :?

I think he was talking about Road Rash. Never understood why EA dropped the Road Rash series, considering their tendency to whore their series as much as they can.

Edit: I think I understand now: Because they were actually good games, unlike most of the stuff they do nowadays :D

Ah, good call. It sure seemed to me like he was referring to Motor Raid.

My kingdom for a decent Planet Harriers port. I mean, shoot...that might be a decent reason for me to purchase a new system. I doubt the PSP could handle it, and the PSP's the newest system I have.
