I have been doing this my whole life on hotdogs.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

Well me too, but on pancakes believe it or not. It's rather tasty to mix in some chopped hot dog weiners and green onion into the batter before cooking, and then dip into some spicy catsup.
