Phantasy Star Portable (PSP)
Clever name, eh?

It looks like the game will take place within the Universe timeline, so I'm not particularly excited...despite being a PS nut.

I really enjoyed the first two on the Dreamcast. It's unfortunate that they aren't putting in some sort of online multiplayer option. If they had done that I would have wanted to buy the game more. Right now it's a toss up whether I'm going to buy it or not. Depends on if anything better is out at the time for the PSP or DS.

I despise the series (but hey it's just me, others can find it awesome, good for them) so I won't buy it and that's a VERY GOOD THING since I'm totally in love with PSP RPGs and I wouldn't mind having another one.
Then again, if maybe I find it for under 10 euros and it's INCREDIBLY good, then...
Let's wait for the first feedbacks

Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Not a photoshop, apparently, they are testing new forms of in-game advertising.

they are adding a whole load of stuff and reworking a ton of facets of the game (no more grinding weapons (well, with Grinders! - you'll pay for the upgrades with meseta))
but absolutely worried stiff by talk of "story based episodes" because, well, PSU was SegaSatan curling one off into the mouths of PSO fans - PSO:Portable really was much better. But i fear we are about to get spunky spikey haired teen 'tude shite story inclusion cursed.

Zoinks! If that doesn't kill off the Phantasy Star name, nothing will! Sad considering what a classic series it was, and how great at least 3 of the 4 original titles were.Thunder Force wrote:Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Re: Phantasy Star Portable (PSP)
I liked the first PSP title pretty well, so it's guaranteed I'll get this upon US release (which is confirmed). Alfa System is the developer (not just porting this time*), so I'll be interested to see what they come up with.
*I'm assuming that the first Phantasy Star Portable was largely a port of something else, though I'm not so confident on this point.
