A very minor increase...

Kiken - Hard - 2,763,463,770 - Stage ALL - Level 245

But I finally took down the TLB in a single credit.

I guess maybe we should separate an All (cleared without accessing TLB) from an ALL (defeated TLB). That's probably the easiest way to note it.

Like to fall back on this one when I'm frustrated by Hard mode :D

Image

Only a slight increase, don't think I could get much higher than that. Was playing through, practising getting the milestone logos for Hard mode, and just realised I had topped my old hi-score.

Image

Got to TLB again, 4 lives intact. Still couldn't get his energy down more than 50% though. Think I need some advice on this one.

Been sneaking bits of this in from time to time, though I'm still not much good at it...

Easy Mode:

BulletMagnet - 440,148,140 - All - 169

Normal Mode:

BulletMagnet - 562,696,410 - 4 - 161

Not even going to bother with Hard mode until I can finish Normal...and that stage 4 boss still has my number.

Hard is only slightly more difficult than Normal. The hardest part is trying not to get killed when collecting the Milestone logos. The only guide you really need is to watch Kiken's superplay. After one viewing that was all I needed.

I bought a 32" LCD a few weeks back and I'm scared to tate the thing in case it breaks it. But because I have so spoiled with tate in the past I can't bring myself to play any shmups until I either find out if it's safe to rotate it, or find a cheapo standard tv instead. Then I will go for the ALL, as I know I can.

Lack of interest in this title is a bit saddening as I believe it's on a par with Homura as one of the more recent over-looked shmups.

I did watch Kiken's replays once, back before I bought the game to get an impression of it, but I haven't watched them since, and have thus forgotten most anything tip-wise they contained (including the whereabouts of the logos). Then again, I prefer not to watch superplays or otherwise get too much help from others if I can help it...I at least want to try to 1CC the thing by figuring stuff out on my own, and then maybe get some help when it comes to uber-scoring and whatnot.

If the upcoming Wii port ever makes it here maybe that'll boost interest...I prefer Radirgy to this, but I still enjoy it, and have been finding myself going back to it quite a bit...

clp, please make sure that you're using the correct all when signifying a clear on Hard.

All (uppercase a, lowercase ll) indicates that you beat the game without triggering the last boss (not collecting all five MileStone logos)

ALL (written completely in CAPS) indicates that you beat the game by finishing off the TLB (collected all 5 MileStone logos).

Finally a new score, and an All too! Good stuff.

I've been meaning to get back into this one for ages just haven't bothered. I'll be getting my old 26" CRT back this week so I'll jump back in.

More scores please!

Thanks. I played the 4th boss and the whole 5th stage with my last life, I didn't think I could make it to the end :)
I'll try to improve my score and collect the Milestone logos which I find very difficult.
Maybe you can also answer my Karous questions in the Strategy forum?

I had a better score but lost it. I'll be doing a 1cc run soon anyway.
