I still have them someplace, I could find them again, if you'd like.
No, not important enough. Thanks, though.
Are you kidding? I'd like to see some of the ones I don't have yet!

There's also the Salamander boss with the 4 tentacles, and the Crystal Core from Gradius II. They also came up with Soitsu and Doitsu from Jikkyu Oshaberi Parodius, I think.

...I promise you there's blue in there! Scanner's not picking up all the holo shiny crap, and photographing it is an exercise in futility.

Must Konami stick Vic and his friends' noses into everything?

Also, I think Yu-Gi-Oh is dumb.

Because nobody asked for it

All the known (English) Gradius/Parodius cards:
- Gradius
- Gradius's Option
- Victory Viper XX03 (from "The History of Vic Viper" in Gradius V)
- Cyclon Laser
- Power Capsule (powerup)
- Big Core
- B.E.S. Covered Core
- B.E.S. Crystal Core
- B.E.S. Tetran
- Boss Rush
- Solar Flare Dragon (Salamander)
- The Statue of Easter Island (Moai, obviously)
- Moai Interceptor Cannons
- Option Hunter
- Aitsu
- Doitsu
- Koitsu
- Soitsu
If there are more, let me know so I can grab them ;) like, the eagle one someone mentioned I don't know its name :?

and clipped video of the Yugi episodes [warning: dubbed]
- 046: Joey vs. Duke
- 116: Seto vs. Noah
There's one more I've heard about I'll post when I find it. The 116 one is dubbed wrong, though, because the kid calls Gradius's Option a Magic card when it's a (Machine) Monster card and counts as a Monster card at the end of the clip... not that it makes the show any more or less shitty
[Also, we know that's not really how Options work...]

The two versions of the intro to Gradius Gaiden (op_nal1_bgm and op_nal2_bgm on gradius portable) have two completely different pronunciations... the male voice says gruh-deeus, the female voice says greydius (can't think of a better way to spell them phonetically). So Konami couldn't even keep it consistent within one game. Personally I would stick with the katakana.

That reminds me, I was working on a papercraft Vic Viper model. I should finish it before uni starts.

That's funny. I remember seeing an epsiode (don't ask what possessed me to watch it) a long time ago that had some sort of gradius card in it. I didn't even know they had gradius cards. Next thing I did when I saw my nephew was go through all his Yu-Gi-Oh to see if he had any. He didn't have any though, or else I would have taken them even though I'd never actually play the game. =P

Here's the other episode... it's in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, which is even more embarrassing and fruitified :x
- Lorenzo plays a Gradius clone arcade cab
- Lorenzo vs. Jaden
The cards don't even work that way! For instance, Crystal Core lasts as long as there are still gate counters on the card when it's attacked... certainly more than ONE TURN WHEN IT HASN'T BEEN ATTACKED :?

...no, I've never played the game, but I read what it says on each of the cards... unlike the episode writers

Anyway, I've determined that they choose Yu-Gi-Oh! voice actors on the basis of being either
- from a Cookie Monster band [Seto/Yugi] or
- a howling monkey trained to say "OH NOES!!1" over and over.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX only has the latter :|

Hee hee, thanks for posting the clips, Minzoku. :) Though every time I see anything Yu-Gi-Oh, I think of that one cracked-out BoBoBo pic you posted way back when...

When did I post that? I know what you're talking about, but where? ??:|??

I made a page of consistent scans of all the cards here. As of this posting, Crystal Core is intentionally broken, because I got screwed by a careless seller and don't have that card yet, but it's easier just to put the code in and upload the image later.

You know, I honestly forget what thread that was in...I recall you posting text to the tune of "BoBoBo makes my brain hurt," or something like that, but that's about all I can recall, heh heh.

EDIT: Hey, I found it, here!

Almost forgot about the "chocolate pies" thing too, heh heh.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but it's been a really really long while since Konami has put in any video-game related reference in the Yu-Gi-Oh series.

Today, while a friend of mine bought a new set of cards that released, he happened to have found this card.

Wow, that's just plain odd. Thanks for that tidbit of info. The inner nerd in me cries out to buy those cards. I'm pathetic.
