Mega Drive games were not sold factory-sealed in Japan. If it's shrink-wrapped, then some reseller must have done it.

Ceph is spot on - some of the games listed in the 'recent' photos came from a recent Japan trip. I literally haven't got around to opening the Thunderforce IV yet, but its just shop shrink-wrap.
Those games cost peanuts by the way, they were bought in Fuji for practically nothing.

Shock Troopers poster is badass. Is that original?

Also, hot girlfriend. Not sure she appreciates your post though. ;)

I was thinking of engaging in this sort of shameless self-indulgence myself at some point. You've clearly been a busy man over the last few months. One question -- Where's the Egret II?

Don't drive matey - public transport for me!

On the way...it's been delayed about 3 times already, but they're due in a large shipping container in the first week's of May, so I'm hoping to have it before the end of said month. I'll be sure to update this thread when that bad boy rolls in!

Do it. You must have some amazing stuff: its just the arranging and photographing that's a pain in the ass. I realised I left a ton off of here (even the Jusatsushi Taromaru!) so I'm going to pull some pics and update later.
Shock Troopers poster is badass. Is that original?
All my posters are original - If there's enough interest, I'll get around to photographing all the other SNK ones. I have a ton!

Are you kidding - the amount of praise you guys have given her so far, she's loving it!

At the detriment of food.

Lol, you're damn right there. They're shit (although 3 has some redeeming factors.) I bought them all a couple of months ago and played through in order to see what the fuss was all about, and then wrote a quick review (which Rupert has probably seen.) Needless to say, I was pretty unimpressed. I'd post it here but it doesn't qualify for this forum.

Dude, Shock Troopers poster does rock. Do you have a Metal Slug original poster? That would rule.

Mad props for Numan Athletics, Demon's World (not many have those!), and Hammerin' Harry :D

I did cringe when I saw your PCB's on the carpet though  :!:

It's a one of a kind jpj, I don't think I'll part with it. But you knew that anyway! :D

They were only on the carpet for a minute, then back in the boxes full of bubble wrap.

I'm bloody desperate for a decent pcb storage medium - i.e some neat, fairly flat, space-saving boxes that are all uniform. All of mine are random things like cornflake boxes!

Anyone got any suggestions, as the post office and stationers here don't have jack?

I've got a huge original Metal Slug X poster!

Have you considered looking into shelves and their usage?
We rent at the moment, and even though the flat is spacious, storage space is at a minimum. I can't start drilling holes and putting shelves up, or my deposit is shot.
Besides, even if I put them on shelves, I'd still like them to be neatly boxed up - I'm not even sure I understand the benefit of having them on shelves tbh?! :?:

Saves space, keeps them organized and off of tables/rugs/floors, makes for much easier dusting, etc. All you need are shelving towers like this (or taller/sans the L-bend section) which can be lined up along a wall. You might look wall space for hanging stuff, but you'll gain a hell of a lot of floor and desk and table space. Ikea, Home Depot or another such store probably has a shit load of such shelves for relatively cheap.

Totally agreed, they'd be good for saving space - although I don't have enough room even to fit those you've linked - we've tons of shit already (desks, cupboards etc.) It's a good sized flat, but most of the free space has already been claimed.

There's one space left, and that's going to the Egret 2!

Don't worry though, I don't keep my stuff on the floor or rugs! The games collection is in storage now (as it was just getting too much) although I kept everything 32bit onward.

I'd love some decent flat boxes to keep the PCB's in seperately though - I'm sure I'll come across some eventually.

Yeah, it's actually a PS2 stick (at least it was out well after the release of the PS2, so I'm assuming its just the logo you're seeing there.)
They're identical to Neo Geo sticks in almost every way, apart from some little buttons for the L&R's, but effectively it can only be used for four button games.

I have two and use them both on my Xbox (which has just now been fixed, thank god) which is Mame'd to the hilt, and therefore needs a decent pair of arcade sticks.

The damage that can occur from setting bare electronics on carpet happens instantaneously (electro-static discharge, ESD), so letting them touch the carpet at all is a no-no (i.e. humans are not faster than static electricity).
