What ever happened to Renovation??....

Post by dave4shmups »

I'm very curious about this. I know that they were based in Los Gatos, CA, and I know most of their games, but, at some point in time, it seems like they just vanished. What happened to them, and who owns the rights to their games?'

Would this be it?:

Edit: Yep, here we go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renovation_Products

Interesting, I always thought that they were an exclusively American development company.

American division aside, the Japanese Reno was a development team for Telenet.

They only published games. from several different developers (Sega, Telenet, Falcom etc.), so I don't think they own the rights to any of them. But then again I'm I have no idea about legal stuff.

Sega bought them out in 1993, so these four would be their last releases.

Time Gal (SCD)
Road Avenger (SCD)
Elemental Master (GEN)
Revenge of the Ninja (SCD)
Kinect? KIN NOT.
