Ketsui worth the price?

Ketsui was one of my first PCBs alongside Espgaluda II.

Mmm. Thinking about it, it was my third (after Espgaluda II - which I got 'cause I couldn't find Ketsui at the time, and after a cheap Ibara I picked up first of all).

my situation is probably different to most. i'd sold my neo geo aes collection that'd been built up over 3 years, and ended up with £5k in my paypal account. actually, thinking about it, my first purchase was doj bl + ketsui + guwange.

Fair point, I don’t usually go for emulation / ports other than to try the games out. I appreciate that people have different motivations when buying games, so I take the ‘Bag of shite’ comment back.

Hm, I don't think 7 is quite feasible. 4 seems more realistic, and all it takes is one Mushi or DOJ @ $450 and there goes half yer $$$... buy both, and your third choice had better be something cheap!

Aside from not often seeing some of these games (you are right that is the prices are not unrealistic) and the fact that you'd be lucky to find some of them at those prices (Raiden DX and Mars Matrix are often more like $100), don't forget the 7 sets of shipping - that's circa $140 just there ;p Plus the A-board for Giga Wing&Mars Matrix ($25).

You must have had a hard time wrapping your head around the idea of AES then.

a decade ago, there was no decadence of arcades so i put my coins in mvs slot machines... nowadays you have to pay trips or pcb to play games and so i prefered lose my cash to get the machines, with 3tons of different arcades at home my head is a little shocked i could admit. i would have prefered just pay to play as before, except in japan it's hard these days in surviving arcades

Again on the name: you're confusing me with Alex. Do you need to a scan of my passport? Among other things, "Ursini" is a (quite rare) Italian surname, not greek. If you have something against "icycalm", you then have something against Alex Kierkegaard. If you have something against "Randorama", you have something against Francesco-Alessio Ursini.

I can see most of the games in my house anytims. Nah actually it’s taken me over 2 years to pick up the games mentioned in the list (I have since sold a couple that I didn’t get on with) & I’m still looking for Batsugan, patience is a virtue

Lets be honest here, DOJ BL is only a tweaked DOJ, which everyone has already played to death. Many have not ever played Ketsui. Now tell me which do you think people are anticipating more?

The obvious answer would be the PCB version of Ketsui is better to begin with whenever the port finally comes out... ^_~
