OT troubleshooting Q

I didnt see a category for this so Ill just try here. I really like the Shanghai Alice shmups like perfect cherry blossom, eosd, imperishble nights. However I cannot get them to run at full speed....the demos use to but now i have the full version and the run soooo slow. I also posted on this website: http://www.shrinemaiden.com/ but no one could really help. Any suggestions? Or does no one play these shmups?

Get a faster CPU and display card... Laptops don't run anything like as fast as their spec suggests so don't bother with those either. My 2ghz laptop runs Imperishable with minimal frame drop, but that's several times more powerful than the minimum requirements... If hardware upgrade isn't possible, switch to wav sound as it seems to use less CPU (!), and 16 bit textures instead of 32. Full screen mode is faster than windowed on a desktop.
