Well it seems I've managed to make my own version faster. :)

DDP Daifukkatsu played by GaijinPunch (40MB, 336x432, H.264 1020kbps, MP3 29kbps).

Resolution changed due to cutting out everything that wasn't game footage, so you don't get to see the back of GP's head in this version (sorry, GP! The beard can still be seen, though). Also, adjusted brightness somewhat. Feel free to mirror/torrent.

The beard stroking version I PMed to him about six hours ago is superior. But yeah if he doesn't want to post himself on his site your version should be used.

I thought about not cropping it but decided there's nothing useful in the extraneous image, anyway, and it will just be consuming the bitrate. There's the full version torrented, anyway.

great job on the vid mozooh, while it was fun to see 'ol GP in glorious beard and all it wasent really the main draw of the film.

i have to say it doesnt look very DDPish to mee tho, ESPgaluda 2 comes more to mind as someone said... not necessarily a bad thing but yeah i was really hoping for something dark and dirty with a bad case of cyberpunk fever..

ill have to say the game looks like alot of fun to play tho, GP did a nice job of it concidering it was his first and only run aswell, kudos!

I actually don't think it was his first credit, due to how he used some of his bombs (that is, before some boss patterns even started). 5th-6th or so looks more like it.

i think it was his first; but he'd been waiting in line and seen various other players have a crack at it.

It was absolutely his first credit, he stated he only got to play the game once!
His anticipation of boss patterns can be explained as the result of watching other people play it for 45minutes before he got his turn.

The game looks great, I'm so eager to never get to play it.

However, that music, is that really the soundtrack to the game? Or is that some background music? Oh it's GOD AWFUL! Please tell me it's a video behind you to that Pirate game. After DDP's awesome metal soundtrack and DOJs awesome techno one, all I hear is that girl's voice and it grates at me.

I will post the version twiddle sent me later today. I'm on a work trip right now, and somewhat crippled.

And yes, that was my first and only credit. I didn't have time to play again.

Dude, you're absolutely god-like at shmups for that being a first credit (I'm mainly looking at the chaining skillz for the reference - but some of the bullet patterns would've screwed me in a flash.)

Very impressed, very jealous. What is the secret to 1ccing a Cave game! (Feel a new thread brewing.)
It's not impossible, as I met my wife in such a place, but it's not like shooting fish in a barrel. That's what Roppongi is for.
Ha ha, Roppongi was like shooting really hot fish in a beer glass.
It was Teh shit.

Solution #1: ffdshow, a stable and featureful encoding/decoding filter that works with all DirectShow players like Windows Media Player.

Solution #2: K-Lite Codec Pack, which contains both ffdshow and another great H.264 decoder, CoreAVC.

Solution #3: VLC, a good player that doesn't need external codecs.

Solution #4: MPlayer, another player that doesn't need external codecs. I suppose you need the Windows version.

Oh, it definitely looks DDPish... a little too much so. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it looks like DDP DOJ 1.5. There's nothing revolutionary going on. At least the jump from DDP -> DDP DOJ was more than slightly noticeable with the new Hyper system etc.. The only thing I can see that is significantly different here is some new lasers and bullet canceling.

@ GP: nice to see you actually have a mortal coil :D Sometimes it seems like we are just electronic personas floating around the interweb.

The graphical style is a lot different. Enemies now have lasers of their own which you can grind on for hits. The scoring system will be radically different now that there is combo slop and comboing into bosses, and of course canceling bullets for hits and medals is completely different. Not to mention the new ship type that doesn't have bombs at all. I have no idea how you can say this is a smaller jump than from DDP -> DOJ, this sounds like a pretty radically different game than DDP.

Slightly OT: I assume K-Lite may have changed but when I last messed with it a few years back it was a veritable festival of spyware and bloated crap. I have since become an advocate of the CCCP (http://www.cccp-project.net/) for Windows users as it has almost every codec you'd need for all the strange video encodings online, plus it comes with Media Player Classic, which is the only video player a Windows user should need.
