I want to pick up a slimline unit now that the $99 pricepoint is appearing. All of the old standby mod sites like modchipman seem to have pulled their PS2 chip services. I'm guessing the wave of Sony litigation that shuttered Lik-Sang scared off all the big mod operations as well. Does anyone know of any good options remaining to get a Matrix Infinity thrown into one of these units?
Also... what about the "final" PSTwo redesign that was reported a few months back? The power supply was supposed to go internal and the unit would be yet more ounces lighter. Have these been seen on store shelves yet? All that I see still have the external power brick. Thoughts? It almost seems better to go with the external power supply anyway and hopefully avoid any new overheating issues.
Thanks!
PS2 Slim modding resources?

From the rules:
"No ISO trading, ROM begging, bootlegging, modchip sales, copyright infringement, or assistance with any of these – for example warez FTP site details. It doesn't matter what is legal in your country, there are no exceptions to this rule – although discussion of emulation is not a problem. "
