got to the boss and he killed me in the first ten secs (very stupid death) i couldve cleared score attack easily this credit. oh and jpj, you should really start playing with lace. your score should skyrocket with her shot.

wow, well done!

can you give us some details of your run? ie were there any mistakes, what score did you have before the boss fight and how much time did you have on the clock, how many sweeps on the lightning attack, how many points from the boss fight, etc etc etc.

i really want to come back to this, but i am not used to playing as lace at all. and if i want to improve my score, i think i must switch character

Ok lets answer this step by step

were there any mistakes

A lot! My first death was right at the beginning of the snake/laser bit. I got lucky not to break my medal chain and i didnt get the special power up back so i did lose a lot of points through the whole stage. i died a couple of times during the last bit and lost my medal chain there.

what score did you have before the boss fight

around 3,8-3,9 if i remeber correctly

how much time did you have on the clock

i had less than 10 secs lol and i was VERY aggressive on the third form cause i didnt want to fuck up another credit.

how many sweeps on the lightning attack

Laces bomb is not the best one to milk the lightning attack. i milked the boss once from 1st form->2nd form and three times from 2nd form->3rd form.

how many points from the boss fight

around 700k-800k.
btw if you die once on the boss youre fucked because you wont be able to kill it without any powerups. you only have around 1:20 for the whole fight.

and if i want to improve my score, i think i must switch character

yep. theres no other way but it would be really cool if you keep playing and eventually youll get used to lace.
and where the hell is icarus???

sorry, i meant how much time was on the clock when the boss came on screen? and yes, when i experimented with different ships, it seems lace's bomb is not so good - both for protection and point leeching. so did you kill the boss, from start to finish, in 1:20...??? with kasumi, it takes maybe 3 minutes.

i'm probably gonna put doj on hold when GP stops playing, so i'll put PS on tonight and see how i go with lace. shit probably

and yeah, i miss icarus and eoj

i had under one minute on the clock, maybe :30. so yeah basically i killed the boss in 1:30 then. you really need to get some time from somewhere when you play with kasumi. good luck on finding those super hidden time bonuses.

Hello

Ive got it down so i get to stage 5 boss with a score in the region of
6,400,00 BUT i just keep getting my ass handed back to me every bloody time. My strat is to get the special power up on stage one, miss all extra lives and no-miss to stage 5 boss, get rose hips by the end of stage 4, i never use rose cracker until after the stage 4 midboss and only fire all rose hips backwards during stage 5. It seems to take forever to take her down, i can't be fooked to do it the low scoring way as that seems too dull and i have no interest in going for the life bug!! Anyone got any good vids for taking the stage 5 boss with lace?

i have exactly the same problem and i have one answer for you: its all about practice!
i beat her ONCE and that was just cause i got lucky with her attacks but to win against her consistently you need some serious skill. just play over and over again.

Died on the snake midboss. Enjoying the game more and more (wasn't so thrilled after the first couple of credits to be honest) but I'm extremely annoyed by the fact that you might as well start over if you die one life in the wrong spot.

for sure, the game is brutal

i'd recommend playing the other modes too. after you insert a credit, hold down to play Harder Mode (crazy); or A+B for Score Attack. Score Attack is great fun because it's short and intense

And dont worry about the difficulty, it gets easier and after some time youll even be able to lose a life without losing the whole credit.

DEL - 5,236,310 - ST5 - Lace (A) - Arcade Mode (Normal)

Didn't heed Plasmo's 1 life advice, went for the six lives and wasn't too far from it

, even with Lace, which was surprising. The resultant Stage 5 rank was silly so I lost 5 lives in quick succession and staggered to the Mid Boss.

Go for the 6 lives bug Del, nobody has yet 1CC'd this with the bug! It would be a Western first. Its actually much more difficult to accomplish than I thought (coming from a guy who put some time into this a few months ago only to get stomped by an english bloke who says he sucks and only played a few credits to get > 5M.

That's good, I was going to request that all my scores be removed, anyway.

Lots of things have stopped me from playing Pink and Pork since the start of December, including work; advances in my studies; a lack of interest in competing on the forum now; and the fact that whenever I do get enough time to play them, I always end up doing something more productive.

That, and I am finding Every Extend and the two sequels far more enjoyable to play, given my now limited amount of free time.
