Dreamcast =/> USB Controller Adapter?

Post by koda »

Hey. I'm looking for an adapter/converter that will let me plug Dreamcast controllers into my PC via USB. I was hoping that maybe someone here had some experience with these.

I did a search on Play-Asia and couldn't really find anything... when I searched eBay there was only one that came up, the TrioLinker Plus II... since it's universal I'm sort've skeptical about the quality, but who knows.

Has anyone used this one? Are there any better ones floating around, and where might I look for them?

Thanks in advance.

I'm using the "3-in-1 Joybox", bought from play-asia. It doesn't appear to be in stock now. The PSX and saturn connectors seem to lag slightly, but the DC side has no problems. I did have to open it up and re-solder the connector though.

i have the "Joybox 3in1" also (got it new as a bargain from a German eBay-dealer) and it works great with an DC-Arcade-Stick on my Mac!

i only use the DC-port - so no experiences with the Saturn or PS ones...

I use the Trio Linker Plus II for both my DC Stock Agetec and my modded Sanwa stick with PSX pcb and I do not notice any lag. The product was reviewed in some Finnish DDR site and they didn't see any lag either.
So I would definitely recommend it. I haven't tested the Gamecube port though.
