You know, I honestly didn't think I'd see that number. Not because it's some big deal or anything, but rather because when I left this place back at the end of June with 947, I wasn't sure if I intended to come back here.

I've been reading the impossible things people at 419eater.com make the Nigerian scammers do in order to make them waste their time. Pretty funny stuff, if a bit tedious. Almost makes me feel sorry for those Nigerians and their millions of dollars that can't be taken out of the country. Almost. :D

WARNING! Long post initiated.

Life has been almost magic for me lately. Truly an "ask and ye shall receive" scene these days.

I was bitching that my phone's camera sucked and my landlord gave me a Motorola Krazr for free!

I figured I'd never get DP and DDP for PS1 (my fave versions of said games) and my very first look at the trading station netted both at decent prices in perfect condition.

I now have every one of my consoles sending RGB signal to my fancy PVM.

I've been getting over a heinous injury. I don't have insurance and was just making up my own rehab routine. Well this kid I train with is like some sort of apprentice at a major whoopty do physical therapy place. He told them one of the teachers at the academy was having a problem but had no insurance. They got me in there the next day and now I've got a team of pros including the awesome Dr Vicky working on me. She said I should get back on the mat immediately. I <3 you Dr Vicky!

This past weekend was insane. The Earaches played Friday night as the headlining act for the CD release party of a very shitty band. I wore a black T-shirt and confirmed my new theory: When PaCrappa wears a black T-shirt ladies get interested. So ends Friday ;)

Saturday was probably the most rockingest night I've had since the early days of Zeke doing shows with Fu Manchu at the Breakroom. So me and my landlord stepped into the Comet for the Fucking Eagles/Valley show and were glad to be just in time for The Fucking Eagles (best R&B style garage act since the Gories). We ran into the immortal Zack Static and shared a beer whilst he informed us that he would be bailing down to the Funhouse to catch the Primate 5 (legendary Seattle simian rockers). We said our goodbyes because me and the landlord were really only there for the Valley. Well some other band came on before the Valley so we saddled up and rode to the Funhouse and were again just in time to see the start of the show. Goddammit, I LOVE THE PRIMATE 5! That was epic. We caught a half a dozen songs and then back to the Comet to catch The Valley. The Valley always rules and Saturday was no exception. After they finished we got together with the guitar player Dan to burn a joint on the sidewalk (damn it's good to be in Seattle) and were instantly mobbed by ladies. It would have been nice except I told one that she was the spittin image of my cousin Vanessa and she got all touchy feely on me! Yuck! I don't wanna bone my cousin Vanessa! Stupid overpowered black shirt, jeez. So here it comes: The thing that made me smile the most:

Dan: "So I got my haircut by a stalker today"
PaCrappa: "HAHA! You have a stalker."
Dan: "No man, YOUR stalker.
PaCrappa: "WTF"
Dan: "She stalks your myspace and says she's in love with you and wants to steal your dogs."
PaCrappa: "God bless the internet."

Isn't that nice?

Oh yeah, earlier in the day Saturday I babysat my buddy's three year old boy. We worked hard all afternoon to get his Will Ferrell (as Robert Goulet ) routines down pat to make his daddy laugh. It worked well. The three of us went to Chinatown for dinner and when the waiter set down the soup the kid busts out a hardy "GOO-LAY!" Perfect.

Last but not least my Professor finally shot a deer with his fancy bow. He didn't have enough freezer space so he done gave me 10+ pounds of venison. Hell yeah!

I'm pretty much just smiling constantly :)

I was walking down the street yesterday to go pick up some food to put on my family, and caught a massive whiff of weed. The thing is, there was like 300 people around for some event.

Playing an old game by Sega for the first time in many years.

I remember this Galaxian clone being at a pizza shop where I used to live when I was about six or seven. The little shop was quite literally the only pizza place in town, so from time to time we'd go in and get some lunch. It was always dark in there, even on the brightest of days. The lights from the kitchen behind the ordering counter were the main light source thanks to the darkened glass and the big awning outside. Candles were on the tables so you could see to order and eat, and the shop was usually pretty quiet and empty whenever we were there.

By the bathroom, they had a full sized Donkey Kong cabinet, and out in the table area, was a cocktail version of Bosconian. I remember always bugging my parents for a couple quarters so I could play while we waited for the pizza to come. And like clockwork, it always seemed to arrive when I was in the middle of a game of Donkey Kong. This usually got me an extra quarter or two after we ate, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

Eventually, Donkey Kong was taken out, and this odd game called Astro Blaster took its place. I remember being disappointed at DK's removal, but I decided to try the new game out. The first thing I noticed was that it talked... a lot. Telling you about your fuel, number of ships, and warning you to be careful when you were down to your last ship. The enemies came in all sorts of abstract shapes, and moved around the screen just as abstractly. There were hidden bonuses to be found, and a docking sequence you had to complete to get refueled. It was simple like most games were back then, but damn did I play it every time we went to that pizza shop. I remember making it to Sector 3 a lot, but never getting past it. Despite that, I got my name up on the high score table a lot, but I think that was mostly because I was about the only one playing the game.

Then one day, we moved away from that town. The little pizza place was left behind, and the game slowly slipped from my memory. The times I'd played it stayed tucked away in the cellar of my mind until about an hour or so ago, when a stray comment on this website brought back all the memories of this game, and the pizza shop.

Back then, things were a lot simpler in quite a few different ways. Going into town with your parents, grabbing some pizza, and dropping a few quarters in a game or two was a fun day out at the time. These days it seems dull to a lot of folks to be sure, but as a kid in a small town, it was great.

Playing this obscure game again put a big nostalgic smile on my face that has yet to go away... partly because it's been so long, and partly because I finally reached Sector 4.

Tonight was the yearly watching of "A Christmas Story". I've seen this movie more times than I'd care to remember, and it's yet to get old. It's just one great scene after another, with a simple and well told story.

This is the first time in the last three years I havn't had to watch two performances of "A Christmas Story" a day for a month. Running sound for 60 of those shows in a month means I can never watch that movie again.

Ever had a moment where you're reminded of an aspect of something you enjoy doing, that you really hadn't thought about for a while? I had just such a revelation about two hours ago.

Some thunderstorms were coming towards our area. Nothing major, as it was just some cloud to cloud and sheet lightning. Nice little show, with some light rain falling. Well, it seems Mother Nature felt like turning things up a bit. A fresh thunderstorm cell formed to our West, and moved due East towards us. Bit by bit, the lightning became more frequent and closer until a bolt shot down a few hundred feet away. Needless to say, it was very bright, and less than a second later, I decided to bring an end to my outdoor storm watching for the evening. So what was I reminded of?

Very close thunder is fucking loud when you're not hearing it from inside a house.

A group of fundies holding a sign that said 'Do you love Jesus?' (and listed everyone who is going to hell, which is everyone except them) gathered around the cafeteria the other day. Someone quickly sculpted and brought out a giant penis that had 'Do you love the cock?' written on the side as an answer. Kind of offensive, but more or less shows how much of a joke these people are to the average college student.

Next schoolyear I'll have my own radio show on our crappy internet radio station, if I'm accepted to grad school. It might be the first time Thee Headcoats get played on the radio.

I am a shumps.com irregular. Maybe if I was able to realize the importance of reading/writing reviews I'd be more regular.

I went to a birthday party last night and a 75 year old Egyptian woman named Betsy showed me her tattoo. She was cute as a button and her whole demeanor made me smile. So did all the little kids. And so did the hot Asian chick that asked me to run some self defense seminars for the women at her work (hospital emergency room).
