There was one uncompleted game under the name Drill by some French developer.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

There's a DC port of Noiz2sa. Plays pretty well.

Nah, I think the guy just ported it and left it at that... I've never had it lock up, though it does definitely have some slowdown.

Quake 1 yes, Quake 2 yes also, but Q2 is not very playable due to a lack of memory on the DC.
