Espgaluds 2 Vs. MUSHIHIME SAMA

Post by Brian »

I am a member of the Houston Area Arcade Group and our our show is on 11/30 - 12/1. There is a guy posting saying if somebody brings a MUSHIHIME SAMA or a ESP2, he will pay $900 for it. My question is, which one should I sell to him?

Which game do you guys think is the better game? I own them, but to be honest, never really gave them much time.

Thanks for the advice.

Holy crap. I think ESP2 is more easily replaced at this time, so you can sell yours to him, and buy another new kit for yourself with a tidy profit. Whoever this guy is has more money than brains.

If he's just looking for a bare board, they sell for about the same amount ($450-$500-ish) these days, though Mushi bare boards are easier to find than Galuda II bare boards. If he wants a full kit, then sell him the Galuda II, as those still go for $600 ish and can still be bought brand new for that price but a full, mint Mushi kit can fetch upwards of $1000 (I've been offered as much as $1300 for mine in the past couple months) and are very hard to find.

As to which one is better, it all comes down to personal preference. Personally I think both games are great, but if I had to choose only one I'd go with Mushi. If I were you I'd sell him the mushi board for $900, as it's easier to find (there are always like 3-4 up on YJ and all the major PCB shops have them in stock) and fairly cheap these days, and in the long run the Galuda II board probably has more potential to jack up in price.

Thanks for the advice. I have owned 4 E2 boards in my time, so I know it is easily replaced. I love the original and keep getting E2 with the idea of playing it, but too many options in this house.

I think I will sell him the E2 kit and be happy he has no connections!
