Is it possible to do leeching on the the last level of progear? The idea would be to die just before the last boss on 2-5 and then play the level again and again until you have just enough extends left to clear the last boss. So, do the Japanese players do this or not? The only reason I don't see someone doing it is because the last level may not be programmed to restart
or that their is an all clear bonus based on number of extends. If you have something useful to add to topic please do share.

2-5 definitely restarts
That's not what he's asking. He wants to score > 8 million per stage, getting 2 extends, then suicide -> rinse & repeat. He's looking to get enough extends to take down the last boss.Leeching is worthless since you cannot surpass the amount of points you would normally get by the game from the end of game bonus.

Yes, I do know about level restart in second loop and gem value drop from bombing. But, you guys are saying that their are no extends in the 2nd loop i.e. the extends per 4M disappear?
I think if they allowed extends in second loop and you could score 4M+, with base gem value, from start to end (just before the boss battle) of any stage this would lead to an obvious infinite score glitch. In any case even if you couldn't score 4M+, and Cave turned on the extends in 2nd loop, leeching on 2-5 could become a viable option. But as it stands now, the end of game bonus probably exceeds the leeching.
Still I am curious as to how much say six tries on 2-5, with base gem value, would exactly add to the score compared to end of game bonus of 7 extends.
p.s. Sorry for the confusing post. I couldn't think of any other way to word it better.

It would get painfull difficult. The super plays have their gem count so high that the lowest gem is the big(?) emerald. This makes the game a LOT easier as you can jewel much easier (don't have to do the intiail suck in). W/o that, the last stage is going to be hard as nails.Still I am curious as to how much say six tries on 2-5, with base gem value, would exactly add to the score compared to end of game bonus of 7 extends.

Progear strongly rewards perfectionism. I'm sure the bonuses are huge, and you'd get so little on the stage with the gem values dropping to near-nothing.wiNteR wrote: Still I am curious as to how much say six tries on 2-5, with base gem value, would exactly add to the score compared to end of game bonus of 7 extends.
