THAT IS THE RISK

Team that wants to win next year, you know who to contact for a 7th player.

Shocky vanished after one post, though that may be because of a dead laptop. But I'm curious to know what happened with Brian C. and Herr Schatten. Herr posted one score in the second half of the week, and Brian C simply never showed.

Where'd half my team go?
Yeah, sorry about that. I was really quite useless in the last two playing weeks. (Omega Fighter and Giga Wing.)

I guess real life just sort of got in the way unexpectedly. There was a death in my family and I had lots of organizing to do. The little time I had for myself I decided to spend with my girlfriend rather than with OF and GW. I think I played both games for about 3 hours or something. It's a pity, because on my last few runs I got the feeling that I really could have gotten a good score in Giga Wing had I given it more time.

What I bemoan the most is that prior to the last week we really had the chance to beat Pele Shooting Team, but then we just couldn't make it happen. I feel partly responsible for that due to my poor participation and performance. Well, there's always next year to kick the butts of our Brazilian archnemesis.
Well, I guess that's a reasonable excuse ;)

In all seriousness, sorry to hear about your loss. It's hard to lose family and go through everything that follows. Hope you guys are doing well in coping with it all.

As for Old Schoolers, the odd part is, we didn't do much worse than last year. We were sixteen points lower this year over last, but with the rankings being noticeably closer together, it hurt us in the placings. We've got some work to do next time, and I'll have the tazers at the ready to "motivate" you guys ;)

Anyway, not a bad showing this second time around. Could have been better, but we'll make up for it '08 :D
