Hi,
I have some questions about Progear in Blue Edition.
A few years ago, I bought a brand new kit (US version) from Trieu (Arcade Shock).
This is the board I got in the kit :

At the boot, I have "USA", so it's a real US version.
But the sticker on the cart looks strange. In reality it looks homemade, but I still don't know today if it's homemade or not.
At this time, Trieu told me only a very few kits were released in the US, and Capcom USA made the kits themselves, that's why the sticker looks a bit different.
Some months ago, I found a Blue Progear in Euro version (the boot say "Euro", so no doubt).
Here is the cart :

The sticker is 100% original like all others CPS-2 games.
But it's written in Japanese.
Before that, I didn't even know an Euro version of this game could exist.
I would like to know if the others guys here who own the board in Blue version can take a picture of their board to compare with mine.
I would like to know if all the US version were released the same way or not.
All informations about this is welcome.
Thanks to everyone.
Laurent

From what i know of trieu's stock... they were made to order and were the very last kits to leave capcom USA before closure. So don't expect the same style as the original kits. As these were slapped together anyway they could.
Also im pretty sure capcom sold a lot of these progear kits (again made to order) to anyone that wanted them around 2002 ? (not sure of the date) but from people i have spoken to this seems to have been the case.
Let me know if you want to get rid of one of them... ive been looking for a blue progear for ages
EDIT: Btw... capcom got real lazy at the end there... and were using whatever stock they had to make up the boards. Ive got a Great Mahou Daisakusen in blue with jap sticker. Same goes for puzzloop2 etc... etc...

I would go for the JP version. The US/Euro versions they cut off the Japanese voices in them.sneek wrote:From what i know of trieu's stock... they were made to order and were the very last kits to leave capcom USA before closure. It's a bit different with Puzz Loop 2 because Jap PL2 is always blue but the white sticker on the right is Japanese. Euro PL2 is blue of course, with the same left sticker, but right sticker is english.
Dimahoo is also another case.
There is the green Dimahoo.
There is the Blue Dimahoo with Jap sticker (I don't even know if the game itself is Jap or English).
And there is the Blue Dimahoo with US sticker (the real US version).
Progear is also different of these...
Nobody else bought this kit from Trieu ?

This is true... however anything after about 2000, its a free-for-all. The production of everything that came out after that date had the "whatever we have left, use it" philosophy. I have even see uncomplete kits come out of capcom just before they shut.
Im a huge capcom fan and collector so ill be interested in your findings
