The structure of the game gives it good speed running potential.

Alien Soldier needs to be mentioned.

It was hard as hell at 1st but then it started to sink in how it worked. Still way challenging but that's a good thing to me.

Elevator Action returns is awsome also, but i loved Rolling thinder so there you go.

Btw... was rolling thunder 3 released in japan on the megadrive?
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

For some strange reason no. It was announced in Japan but only released in the US.

Meh, I didn't like Alien Solider all that much. WAY too many damn bosses. Same flaw Contra: SS had(although I did S-rank that game eventually, so it must have been some fun >_>)

Meh, I thought Alien Soldier didn't have enough bosses.
Also, I'd like to say that Aladdin for GEN is pretty damn good.

I'd classify it as one, it has platforming areas, although alien soldier is way offbeat and kind of a bizzare game to start with as far as structure goes.

Doesn't the Dreamcast have a 2.5D platformer starring a girl that only came out in Japan? I don't remember the name but it looked interesting.
