Which version of MAME do you use?

I found Michael in 2+5 pretty early on, then in stage 1 only 2 days ago; still nothing on 3+4 despite heavy searching.

Yeah, maybe there isn't any Michael at all in these levels, after all...

@Rob :
I'm using WolfMAME plus 0.99 (lazy to upgrade).

There's a trick to make savestates work :
If the game crashes after a savestate load, just reboot (default F3), wait the game boot is 100% finished, and only then, try to reload.
Took me a little time to figure that out ;)
Not sure, but other games might need the same trick.

I died right as I take out the boss, heh. I think GwinBee finished him off for me.

Very intrigued as to how to get high scores on stage 1. Last score from me as have to get up for work in 4 hours.

Sorry for the late update. I have been quite busy the entire week. So unfortunately I couldn't play much Twin Bee, yet... sorry, for the low score to my teammates, but it seems like you guys handled this week quiet well without me. :)

I think that holding back scores until the end kind of hurts the competition a bit. It's like me running a race against a bunch of people that I can't see until anyone gets 5ft before the finish line. If I had been able to see them, surely I would have pushed myself just a -little- more harder. As I said in another thread, competition fuels improvement. But hey, what do I know. :) Maybe you guys can't handle the competition otherwise? ;) haha. Let me join in and hold back a score until the very end of the competition, surely people would learn not to like that.
Where's your score, then?
Put us to shame (and give me a good reason to stop playing, as I have a backlog of work to take care of).
I'm really sorry, haven't had a ton of time to play this week. Expect ~6M from me, I'll tell you that. Expect a score within the next few hours, and a video tuesday. : )

In the future weeks I'll try my best to update what's going on, that way I'm not letting anyone "run a blind race," so to speak.

Team scorepost.
Nice and big so Edge doesn't miss it.
  1. 5,157,080 - Icarus - Stage 6 - Option - [MAME, EXTEND ON, AUTO 3]
    <SCREENSHOT> <Replay available soon.>
  2. 4,242,150 - STG - Stage 6 - Charge
  3. 4,188,020 - DEL - ALL (Lx0) - Napalm - [PSX]
    <SCREENSHOT>
  4. 3,671,140 - Smraedis - Stage 5 - Napalm
  5. 2,822,690 - elbarto - Stage 5 - Napalm
  6. 2,306,390 - freddiebamboo - Stage 5 - Napalm
  7. (mulletgeezer is sitting out this week as he has Mushi Futari. ^_- )
Players will update individually now when and if they can be bothered to.

I've had enough of bell juggling for one week. I know I could have done better (had a run starting stage5 with 4.3mil and botched it right at the end losing Michael almost as soon as I got him), but don't really feel like trying. Happy with my score, and will be happy to place wherever at the end of the score update.

Time for an early night, work in the morning. -_-;;

Excuse me for doing other more important things. This week has been quite shitty for my participation, I've only had the breaks between work shifts (2.30pm - 4.30pm) and the night time (midnight to 4am) to play, and because of that, I can't even be bothered. Not only that, I feel like shit as I've become sleep-deprived as a result. At least there's a week break to recuperate.

Time to sleep.

I have a screenshot if needed, but couldn't bother to record a replay.

I find really amazing how easy the game is after level 4. I can see people having trouble with 5th boss, but he's also incredibly easy when you understand it. Level 6 is a joke.
If the game didn't had level 4, or it was as easy as the rest of the game, this would be a very easy 1cc.

I really wanted to beat 4 million, and I think I can do it (I mean, I was what... one pink bell and a few enemies away of it?), but I have to go to sleep, I have to be at work in 8 hours... it's the end of Twinbee Yahho for me :)

Midboss of level 3 and 4 give me hell... and boss world 4 i sometimes lose concentration on... but beyond that, I'm just being careless, or paying too much attention to bells if I lose a life elsewhere
