Great iniative,
I am pretty short on money, but I am definitely going to spend 10-20€.
I don't have a Pay Pal account though, hmm... but I could send you the money with a letter or something similiar...
Please PM me to let me know how I can send you the money.
I am aware that the game might eventually not be playable so soon in MAME. But I think getting the Rom dumped is worth the donation alone. Even if the game would be playable in a few years.

Not very likely. Besides, bootleg copies of old games like Ketsui will only hurt the second hand market. One that is already more or less corrupt (gougers and the like).

Again, as has been stated in this thread, Ketsui is not rare, so the whole "preservation" doesn't hold all that much merit either.
I knew this had to happen.
During some time, Edge also thought I was you - it's a coincidence, but I'm an Area 88 anime fan. Since my usual nick is Kaede, I picked the nearest variant...
I posted (who said spammed ?) infos about this thread on several other forums, let's hope it works.
Donations reaching half of the amount in 5 days is very encouraging...

.
Yesterday I sent 15€ to eight who has a PayPal account, so he can then send it to Pixel's account. Since this process is not the usual way it may take a few days until the money arrives over there.
Looking at the list of donators as of Aug.09, TWE is the only person on the Ketsui hiscore table to have donated, and I think also PPPP and bay? Just pointing out some random observation.
Sorry, I'll get my donation in. Uhm.... soon. But it won't be much. I have overspent these last two months.
Welll.... I'm about to make myself really popular again.
Sorry guys, this has to stop. It took a while to make this decision, I understand the reasons (some of) you have for wanting to do this, and sympathise.
However, there are a couple of issues with it.
1) We're endorsing copyright infringement by allowing this to continue. We can't be seen to do that.
2) If this was an ancient piece of abandonware, I think we'd all turn a blind eye, not like it's hurting anyone. However, given that Cave themselves asked for work on emulation of this and other recent titles to stop, I think we have to respect their wishes.
If you want to continue, that's your choice - but it has to happen off the forum, sorry.
