The player is 1" from the top of the screen 80% of the time in the begining stages. (in verts obviously). I try to learn from them but I can't play 1" from the top of the screen because I can't see whats coming. The only thing I can fathom is that the player has learned the patterns of enemies so well. But on top of that they dodge bullets from 1" away from where they are being shot as well. Which to me seems impossible.
Has anyone actually seen someone play like this in real life? I mean close is close, but these replays are ridiculous and apart from showing off they don't seem to have any other purpose.
I've only seen DOJ superplay offically, everything else has been on the net. I Can't remember if the DOJ players did that or not.
I'm interested to know
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
If you know where most/all of the enemies are beforehand you avoid another risk element by shooting them before they can by taking advantage of the extra damage given to you by point blanking.
so long and tanks for all the spacefish unban shw <Megalixir> now that i know garegga is faggot central i can disregard it entirely
<Megalixir> i'm stuck in a hobby with gays
Yeah, it's just good knowledge of the game they're playing. It didn't even take me very long to develop this with Mushihime-sama. As for dodging bullets, it's just a timing thing. They KNOW the bullet is going to come from a specific enemy, and if it's an aimed bullet (which they often are), you just twitch a little at the righ time and it'll miss. No reflexes or reaction required.
There aren't many parts you can play the top of the screen though in most games =P
What a dangun super-play, then you'll see point blanking at its best (i.e. literally at the farthest top point of the screen). Point blanking in dangun=faster kills and instant disco dudes=more enemies=more disco dudes=more points so if you follow that, dangun=points
High-level play in Dangun Feveron is RIDICULOUS. In the replays I got from super-play.co.uk the player stays in the top third of the screen ALL THE TIME. Adding all the MEOW MEOW MEMEMEOW from the hidden cat ship makes it a pretty weird replay to watch - it´s both totally mental and boring at the same time.

That's how I feel about most superplays.
Because of this, I prefer watching replays from people who still make mistakes and whose strategies appear reproducable to me (even by me).
Maybe I should start making replays ^_^ 1cc of ESPgaluda with 30M and no lives left. Ikaruga with 20M and no lives left. Perfect Cherry Blossom with no lives and one bomb left (and 11 deaths! Hurrah for voluminous extra lives!) Lots of bomb spam too.
