After playing with the controller for a bit after letting go of the arcade stick for awhile, it feels really awkward at best. Get a stickprofessor ganson wrote:Are people playing with the standard controller? How is that working out?
You should read my guide I made, as it has a picture of the Senko no Ronde SP stick layout, which works on a DoA 4 stick!.Sonic R wrote: I am playing with the DOA4 stick. I am trying to figure out a button combination that is work for me.
Microsoft mandates that all Xbox 360 games must meet the minimum resolution of 720p, which is why G.Rev had to rework the game's engine again to meet this standard. So yeah, you shouldn't have any problems.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:Does this new fangled 360 shmup title of Wartech support the USA HD formats: 720p, 1080i and/or 1080p?
And would it be wise to get an Elite 360 console if it does support those resolutions? (I already have a Sony branded HDMI cable for use with my PS3 console setup...)

I went to EB Games today and asked for Senko no Ronde. Of course they had no idea what I was talking about, and I couldn't remember the U.S. title. Fortunately we solved the problem. Looking forward to it tonight!
Too bad one needs a stick. I certainly found with the original XBox that the standard controller was worthless for most purposes, and I've heard even worse things about the new controller's dpad.

Hmm, I thought I made it somewhat clear in my guide. =/Sonic R wrote:

Maybe I should revise that section. The button layout exaplanation appears right before the image of the arcade stick:
They separated the Barrage button so you can use it immediately after you dash and don't trigger your B.O.S.S. mode (but they probably did it mainly for Lili, since she can charge her Main Weapon while still having access to Barrage and special moves).me, on that guide wrote:If you're super hardcore and want to use an arcade stick (which I wholeheartedly recommend without a shadow of a doubt; a DoA4 stick will do nicely as you can set it up like in the arcade), here's how the game is set up for Senko no Ronde SP, where button C is the Barrage button and OD is the Overdrive button:
ALSO! Yes, Senko no Ronde SP only uses 5 buttons.
But you won't see the frame-by-frame animations! D:Sonic R wrote: By the way - VERY GOOD GuideI am plan to print it out at work tomorrow for deep study!

Ah, didn't have that issue myself. Anyway, I sent a friend request your way, hope we can have a match or two soon. I'm half tempted to suggest Player Matches though, so we don't have to set up the game every time...
Speaking of which, does anyone else prefer Player Matches in this? I HATE how Ranked matches are a one shot deal. One match, then back to the lobby.

well, the easiest way to do it is to set up a friends list, someone makes a custom match, and then that player invites their friend into it. I'll try to be available at 6-8PM -6GMT today, but if I don't get any requests by around the time I see some of my friends online, I'll start doing ranked matches instead.

Sadly, I'm not on Live. Too pricey for how little time I have for gaming. Also, I spread myself between about 20 gaming systems, so my XBOX doesn't get so much of my time.ForteMP3 wrote:Hey Prof, what's your gamertag? Also, there's some strategy threads you can read for some info...
I will definitely check out the strategy threads, thanks.

Don't be afraid to practice some friendly battles in Player Matches, Sonic R.
Player Match battles are not put on your record, so there's no shame in losing during one. If anything Player Matches are a great way to practice since you can keep playing the same person over and over, whereas you can only do one Ranked battle with someone, and then go back to the main lobby.

This game was so worth the wait for me; I am really enjoying it thus far. I hope to get on Live later for some vs play(to probably be stomped but meh).
If I had any complaint is that the ships seem a bit sluggish, I find myself having to use my sheild against barrages that would normally be cake to evade in any other shooter(yes, I know this game isn't a TRUE shooter).

Whenever I host a Ranked match, sometimes they join. I've had three of them so far, and I've fended them off in sound victory (winning both rounds), which really scares me.jp wrote:I don't think I'll be playing against any Japanese players for like... a few months at least.dai jou bu wrote:Guys, someone called me a "Really Good Cheater" online. And yes, I heard the game was region-free. The strangest thing is Ubisoft's publishing this game in Asia as well.

You could achieve 1080P resolution with component cables but since you have an HDMI cable thats the more convienent solution since it has audio built into it. Still dont know how much of a difference the picture would be between component and HDMI. Both look amazing. HDMI is digital so I guess it wins by a notch over analog component.

I got online last night and no one was on
Got creamed by a couple of Japanese players(well actually one match I should have won, but he boxed me in with his FINAL B.O.S.S. and kind screwed me).
God I am loving this game...

What time are we talking about here? I know I was playing some exhibition matches with Forte for a bit at around 9-10PM last night and then I was playing some exhibition matches with another friend of mine since he just got the game as well. =/Varuga wrote:
