I'm going off what I've seen in replays and on various discussion boards, so you guys will need to correct this as you go.

Raizing-style Medal system:
- Increments from 100, 200, 300 --> 1000, 2000, 3000 --> tops out at 10,000pts.
- I am assuming that the medals drop 10 levels when you drop a Medal (if at 10k, they go down to 1k; if at 3k they go down to 300 and so on).
- Standard Medals drop down the screen.

Espgaluda-ish item system:
- Collecting pigs (both on ground and parachuting) fills a bar at the bottom of the screen. This bar fuels the Lard Attack, where destroying an enemy releases a certain amount of Medals.
- The Lard Attack automatically sucks Medals towards you, useful for rescuing Medal chains.
- Particular mid/stage boss forms can be destroyed with the Lard Attack which converts the bullets on screen into Medals.
- Pigs are worth 1k in points if collected when the Lard Attack bar is filled.
- The colour of the Lard Attack bar seems to influence the amount taken off - when it is red, it removes a huge chunk as a startup penalty before draining gradually after (think Espgaluda's Guard Barrier), while it just drains gradually when it is blue. From observation, using Shot changes the bar to red (as in "charging up bar") while not firing changes it to blue (as in "cooled down"). The trick then, is to shoot in short bursts, then cool down the bar before using the Lard Attack to make efficient use of the bar.

Powerup system:
- Collect P icons to increase Shot power. Each powerup level requires double the previous amount of P icons (think Soukyugurentai) - I think I goes 8, 16, 32...
- P icons collected when your are at maximum Shot power give 1k in points instead.
- B icons on the ground fuel a bomb meter, fill the meter to gain a fresh bomb.
- Using a bomb converts all the bullets in the path of the bomb into flying pigs, fueling the Lard Attack meter.
- Dying gives you two bombs automatically.

Icarus pretty much covered evrything except a coule.

The lard attack doesn't always guarantee the 'sucking in'. I think you have to keep holding the button down until the destroyed enemy has generated all the pig heads. If you let go too early (or run out of lard), they will just fall (hitting lard attack even w/ an empty lard meter will suck them in at this point though).

-There's a 1-up on the 3rd stage mini-boss. I got it once, but have no idea how. I didn't use the lard attack, I remember that.

-Sometimes a random pig head will be generated... make sure you don't drop it. If it looks like you will, lard attack to generate more. Even if you miss it, as long as you can generate another one and suck it in, your mulitplier won't drop.
- P icons collected when your are at maximum Shot power give 1k in points instead.
I think this give 5k.

Protips:
-The water tower things on stage 2 give you a lot of lard meter if you kill them w/ your lard attack.

-At first, the idea is to kill only a few enemies w/ the lard attack so you can get 10,000 multiplier by the end of the stage.

-Stage 4 gets kind of tough

Enjoy it -- it's a really fun game.

Does the third stage midboss have destroyable parts? I'm thinking Ibara here (stage4 midboss) where you destroy all or certain bits before destroying the midboss outright to trigger the Extend.

Indeed it does, but it times out really fast. I didn't do anything special (that I know of) the one time I triggered it. I should go check on 2ch.

59,533,850 - GaijinPunch - Stage 4 - The blue chic

Why does everyone say this is easy? Everyone I see get to stage 4 (myself included) gets completely ass-fisted.

The centre led lights when powered...(like all cave)...then it goes off then two out of the lower five flash..then extinguish..is that the same as yous?

Questions:

1: How do I trigger the extend on stage 3?
2: How do I lower rank? Dying once doesn't seem to do much. Dying twice helps, but I don't make 20 mill per stage, so that's not really an option.

1) By destroying the big cannon of the mid-boss.
2) Dying is the only solution I think.

So I guess I need to stay in the middle and keep firing on him, or shoot the drill as much as possible when he fires it at me?

I need to study more on the rank. Dying clearly does not make your rank go down automatically. Look at the recent videos where he milks the boss. Bomb->Bomb->Die and the rank is just as vicious on the next big bullet cycle.

I reached the mid-boss 3rd stage 3 or 4 times, and I always died stupidly because I staid at the middle. I think we must wait until he charges his cannon, and then destroy it with lard attack or main shot. But on KHD and GER's replay, they don't manage it. Gion should know it how to do maybe.

Hi ,
Yes You can find the extend with the mid-boss stage 3 ,

personally when he arrives at the screen I shot the Big cannon "A" shot (with Ikuo) , when it starts to move I use lard attack if I am not any more in front of the cannon I stop the lard attack and begins again when I am in front , when lard attack is empty I continue with the “B” shooting , then when it is destroyed I move in the middle of the mid-boss And have the extend.
since I use this way I Have many time the extend ,
only thing is with "B "shot" you move more slowly .

PS : sorry for my english :?

I think your buttons are mis-mapped.

Defaults:
A: Normal shot
B: Lard attack

Thanks for the tips though. I'll try that out when it stops raining and I make it to my game center.

Thanks, I will check out those vids.

gionmatsuli: I think you goofed the table. I haven't broken 70 mil yet that I remember. I got 64 or something but I don't think I posted it. Forgot where I wrote it down.

EDIT: I still don't know what you did. :( Just looks like you kept shooting in the middle. Does it the drill have to be visible when you kill it?

In case you were still wondering about this, I just got my brand new MMP board, and it's just like yours. A light goes on when you power up, then it's off for the duration of the play (and no other lights are on). So don't worry, that's the way it's meant to be!

It's always fun to toss up a score after you first get a game. Best after 5 credits (and you can see the score for each of my first 5 credits in the pic):

34,254,290 - EOJ - Stage 4 - Momo

Made it to the Stage 4 boss. Awesome game!!

A bit of an improvement after a few more credits with the game today:

52,430,830 - EOJ - Stage 4 - Rafute

Image

Once again I got to the Stage 4 boss, but this time I nearly beat it! Probably just needed one more bomb or a bit more on my lard meter. Oh well. I kept my medals up through the middle of Stage 4, where I lost the chain.

This game is so freaking easy. Took me about 20 total credits playing this game to get this:

96,807,370 - EOJ - Stage 5 - Rafute

Image

Hilariously, on my first time through Stage 5 I made it all the way to the final form of the last boss! I nearly killed the thing too, but I had no idea what to do with that funky green laser pattern and got trapped in a corner with no bombs left. Oh well. Maybe a 1CC tomorrow?

I kept my medal chain all the way through the game up to about the halfway mark of Stage 5, where I lost it. By the time I got to the final boss, I had it back up to 6000K per medal.

I had 3-4 lives in stock throughout most of the game, and the rank wasn't too bad really.

I have to say the game is quite a rush, despite its easiness.
