Currently hard on the next update of World-Of-Arcades

Since I'm a perfectionist is it: Reco or Reko ?

going by the katakana, the Hepburn romanization would be with a 'k'.

Seconded. Sorry for unnecessary bump.
BTW, my friend misread the title of the game as "Mushihimesama Futanari".

Quick'n'dirty:

MODE SELECT

Original
With few bullets, this is a simple and easy-to-play mode.

Maniac
Enemy attacks become more varied, so this is a harder mode than original.

Needs some better Englishification, but this is roughly what it says.

The bottom manic mode is brutal as hell too, it starts kicking your ass right away :/ Sort of like Galuda arrange only twice as hard I'd say. ;)

In ver. 1.5 or 1.0? I'd agree somewhat with ver 1.0, but 1.5's Maniac mode is about as hard as Mushi 1's Maniac mode. In other words, not all that hard.

wasn't version 1.0 meant to be too easy?

I thought Maniac's 1.5 was substantially easier than 1.0's. I'd say it's of "fair" difficulty. NOt Ketsui, not DOJ. Definitely not as easy as Mushi original as ESPGaluda. Probably similar ot ESPGaluda II.

No, 1.0 is much harder than 1.5. 1.5 was made a bit easier because people complained 1.0 was too hard.

I went to Hey! today for the first time in a long time. Saw a guy playing Maniac (Palm). The high score on there was 825 mil, which I thought was pretty impressive. What's the current record in Arcadia?

The password is "rikosuke", but it should be in the MMP thread, not the Mushi Futari thread (as it's a vid of the MMP 5th boss fight).

Mushioujou has a video up in his 5/27 entry, but I guess it's another regional thing. If anyone is able to grab it and upload it that would be super.

Yeah, it's a 70mil stage 5 Original mode boss fight vid. Getting 70mill off her in Original is pretty impressive.

Anyway, I tried downloading and was rejected as usual. At least GaijinPunch can watch it! :)

40 million of those points are from his remaining lives. It would have been 50 million but he gets sniped just moments before finishing off the boss. I wonder what his stage end bonus would be if he hadn't died since he ends with 474 million.

It also shows the last minute of stage 5.

I wonder why I can download it? Guess I'll put it on Megaupload or something. Kind of out of space on my site at the moment.

EDIT

There you go. Have fun.

Thanks for the upload. The guy states on his blog he estimates he could get 92 mil from the 5th boss (including end of game bonus) with a no miss/no bomb, and his current theoretical perfect run would yield a WR score of 508mil.

That guy got fucking robbed. Still, really impressive playing, he's inches from the record.

It's been a while since I last played, I forgot how fast Original was. Despite the so-so art design, I still think it's one of Cave's funnest games.

Man, he did get robbed. I have to say, watching that vid makes me wonder if there is bullet-speed rank in Original mode. I've played through Original loads of times, and I can't say I've ever seen the bullets quite that fast at the end of the level and on the boss, but then again I've never gotten to those parts of the game with a no miss. Hmm.
