After about a month of practice I finally get the hang of the later stages, making to the last boss:

stuminator - 1,079,300 - Ta152 - 1-8 - Saturn arcade

Not much love for anything other than the Hayate and Pancake, is there?

How do I know if I'm playing original or arcade? On both MAME, and the PS2 compilation?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the original 1 modes for Saturn, PS1 and PS2 would count as "original", while all others, including original 2 and MAME would be "arcade".

I've only played the Saturn version (and PCB), but I'm guessing the PS1 and PS2 ports have the same screen setup options.

Right. Default on the home ports (SS, PS1, and PS2) are Original mode. Arcade/MAME is Arcade, which by the way is selectable in all home modes as well.

I just tried it and it works for me. The problem is I cannot direct link to the zip file.

Copy and paste this into a new browser window to download the replay (don't click it, you have to copy and paste): http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/1/e/0/ls ... olf106.zip

I only have about 10 min a day to play thanks to amanda loving to watch boring tv instead of exercising her brain and at least play games.

Finally got to the loop after playing this on and off for months. The loop looks rather annoying, so I doubt I'll go back to this anytime soon.

I’ve decided to start going for the clear on Strikers II. It’s still a great game. :)

Well, I'm not great at this, but I always felt bad about not contributing to the hi score forum. So, here's my current Strikers II score on Saturn, default settings of course:

Ki84 1-5 489,700
