Okay, I think I can do that now. Maybe I'll start with TFV, actually. It's just too bad that Broken Thunder didn't work out.
What I've been thinking a lot is that a lot of people didn't have very good initial impressions of Trizeal... no one seemed to have anything good to say about it, and it seemed to have poor popularity in game centers. Lots of people balked at the released videos, compared it to previous games (and said that the previous games should be played instead), said "buy good games" and the like.
Even after all this, Trizeal ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. All I'm saying is that I learned that no matter what anyone (or everyone) says, the only way that anyone's going to know for sure is if they try it themselves, so that's what I wanted to do.
(Everyone here could very well be right about it, but I wanted to give it a shot.)

I mentioned earlier in the thread that I've been planning on getting TFVI as soon as I get my Genesis back, but the reasoning behind BT first is that if I'm going to play both games, I'd rather play the better one after the worse one... it's like seeing film adaptations of books. If you read the book first, chances are good that you'll be disappointed by the film, but the reverse is not usually true. If I see the film and enjoy it until I read the book and then enjoy the book more, then I'll still have enjoyed both for a span of time.
Some would ask, "Why not play the games everyone already likes,
before resorting to the panned ones? Why not get the most out of your time by going straight for the best?" I suppose that my only answer for this is that I've gotten to the point where I already have a number of titles that I enjoy very much. If I keep picking more "known-good" titles up, I'm going to come close to overloading my plate. If I'd purchased this, it could've gone either way, and in the least I would be supporting a scroll-shooting game developer.
(Again, some said that Triangle Service didn't deserve any support. I admit that I'm wondering a bit about FN&AG.)

I meant that if I had pre-ordered it, then I'd be more inclined to give it the benefit of a doubt.
