The bosses seem a little bit unimpressive, but I like the Cave-esque bullets they spew in the middle of the fight. Not as solid as TFV, but not sucky either. I just would have loved to see more shooting love being poured into this release after the beauty that was TFV on Saturn. Being a PC, it wouldn't have been too hard to pull off some more impressive effects.

Wow it looks awful. 40 or 60 Euros for this PD game? No way.
Thanks for saving my money!

Hmm, I am not impressed by the vids at all.
The clouds in the second stage are all nice and stuff, but the first stage looks bland to me.
Also the bosses at first glance are unimpressive indeed.
The music however seems to be "right on" and I am wondering already if I shouldn´t have preordered the LE instead (or if it turns out to be horrible the OST).

Agreed, but with those minimum specs to keep in mind you shouldn´t have expected anything better looking than Scramble anyway. ;)

Ah well, I´ll wait for the first play impressions (Ghegs?) before I start worrying. Guess it´ll be at least 10 days before I receive my copy...

Why was the first boss designed to look like it's sporting wood?

I must say I liked what I saw so far though judging by the videos the game looks clearly doujin which is not really a problem if it would be one of those "download it and unlock the full version after paying 10$" kinda thing. Am I right that there's also no free demo available at the moment?
Well, too bad. Keeping in mind the speed with which doujin beat em ups end up on torrent I'll play the waiting game then...

Yup. Mediocre considering the detail that went into A3, Guardian's Knight, Deep Purple and the Guardian Core in TFV. Good thing this is just a doujin and not officially a TF game. It's not like programming for Windows is that hard, is it?

They certainly had good reasons for not showing us any gameplay videos ;)

Actually, when you think about it the whole thing seems to be nothing more than a pretty lame attempt at milking Thunder Force fans.

And better looking explosions; those are weak. :? And since when was Thunder Force about bullet-manic bosses?

I'll pass unless this get's a really cheap console release.

Nice.

Yeah I wasn't expecting too much out of this game given it's background. Maybe they should just make it free after six months or something :)

You said it.
It's safe to say it's money better spent on the full version of Kamui versus Broken Thunder, no question at all.

this makes me sad....
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Yeah, me too. The level designs are saccharin. The bosses are retarded. The game does not do the music justice - weird, I never thought I'd say that. I DO like that big sword weapon the ship has, though. That could have been good in a real game!

I feel like I need to play some real TF just to cleanse myself of this awful feelin'. :(

KUSOGE-

Post by makopico »

I am Japanese.
It was not a thing that satisfactory was able to be done though Broken Thunder was
bought.
The unfinished article was sold in a dignified manner.
All Japanese fans are disappointed.
Broken Thunder is correct and excrement game though a trivial game is said, "KUSOGE-(Excrement Game)"
in Japanese.
