What is the storyline for Blazing Star?

Blazing Star's storyline comprises of a small rag-tag group of mercenaries determined to bring down the army of Brasella (is that the correct spelling here?) that invaded another planet. Hence all the cool looking metallic appendages on the Blazing Star pilots themselves.

I like the busty femme fatale figure pilot shown in the forefront while her brother is in the background as featured in the opening intro of Blazing Star...a quick closeup forward pan shot moving towards her rack then upwards towards her pretty face and all dressed up in super skin tight pilot uniform garb would have be ace in my book. (One could obviously see that she wouldn't be wearing such a bra anyways...) ^_~

There is no story. It's actually just a big anti-abortion propaganda piece, showing how hard the baby would be willing to fight for life given the chance... and weaponry. They were originally going to make the ship a wire hanger, but they didn't want to get too pushy.

I assume you mean sister? There are 4 female pilots and 2 male pilots in the game. The only shot during the intro where it shows two pilots simultaneously is when it shows the main character from Pulstar (Naomi) and her sister (Kaoru) who pilot the Dino 135 and 246 respectively.

All information regarding the storyline of Blazing Star MVS game is taken from the USA version of the Blazing Star arcade flyer (which is printed in full-color on both sides & is a breathtaking piece of shmup "art de resistance" worth collecting for posterity)...

Blazing Star

For whom do we fight? For what do we fight?

A shooter with the ultimate in Neo Geo computer graphics is here!!

The planets Remuria and Mutras had been at war for many years,
Weapon developement had escalated as both planets set up "Organic Weapon Production Factories" simultaneously to create weapons built around alien intelligence. This caused the two rivals to be drawn into another major conflict.

All animals on the planets were taken by this "Weapon of Evil" and were changed one by one, into creatures of evil. It took only seven days for all humans to disappear from the planets.

Transformed into evil and unable to ask themselves these questions, the creatures of both planets lived for nothing but continuing the war.

But after some years, four creatures once again regain awareness of their humanity. All others reside in a place deep inside their hearts to see them restored to their true form. There was now hope for the future... But strong as their will, it could not override the power of their orders. They must do as they have been commanded and destroy all evil that was human.

The above Blazing Star beginning storyline is what leads up to the game and the resulting ending is a long and lengthy worded one as well... ^_~

It sure would've be nice that have been told these preceding events leading to the current situation of these mysterious four persons who have the power to change history and the outcome of the two warring planets once & for all..... ^_~

For doctorx0079,

It was my pleasure, it was really hard trying to decipher some the words of this Blazing Star storyline as they were fuzzy (from reading the text on a high-res printout printed on computer photo paper)...but with some careful re-reading and filling in the puzzling fuzzy-looking words...it is complete. ^_~

It was well worth the extra effort since I don't have access to such a real Blazing Star arcade flyer but merely just a downloaded high-res scan JPEG to work with... ^_~

And I too, have wondered about what led up to the current events in the Blazing Star game -- we both now know how it all really began..... ^_~

It was destroyed Brawshella the evil weapon as the ringleader. Now, it is brought the end of the interplanetary war between the Remuria and the Mutras. By soldiers who wake up to the human heart. Also people have been captured by Brawshella is liberated. Peace must come back soon. The soldiers go away to seek a place where they can live in peace. With a strong wish that such a war never break out again.

Kaoru and Naomi probably came in on the request of the other four player-characters, to help them destroy Brawshella. These other four are most likely the ones who regained their humanity.

The story mentions that both planets built their bioweapons around alien intelligences. Maybe Brawshella's soul is a lot older than the conflict (exiled alien horror?), and decided that this was a good time to create an empire...

Okay, that kind of makes sense. Everybody got taken over by Brawshella, until it was destroyed.
