Why couldn't you cancel? I was able to change my preorder from Playasia just fine. Maybe you didn't have enough time to do it?

Also is it just me or do those long enemy ships look just like the ones from Trizeal?

Thanks for the mod. Sometimes we post things that we don't mean. It's good to let cooler heads prevail :D

Having said that, I got GWG today. Just played it for 10 minutes, but don't have enough experience with the game to give it a thumbs down or up. The noticeable thing for me is that the feel of the game seems off. The frame rate is decent but it seems to have a frame skip.
No problem, keep posting and have fun. I think I went a little overboard now editing yours and Rob's posts but as long as it cooled things down as ya say then good. I look forward to your impressions of Battle Garegga whenever you get around to buying it as it's one of my top 3 fave shooters.

Nice video Kiken!

But I don't see where some of you guys seem to get the idea that player bullets have a higher priority over enemy bullets... plenty of places in stage 1 of Kiken's video already where enemy bullets are visibly higher priority over Kiken's awesome destructive power...

Yeah - I checked this again last night and I was wrong about that - it just turns into a sea of splatting sprites at some points and you really lose track of where the ship is jerking around.

So far my best effort is into level 4, with 29 in the first segment of numbers on the score. I don't even know if those units have a name.

Quintillion?
More like "kei", I believe.
Since GWG uses Japanese grouping for large numbers, i.e. groups of 4 digits.
So 29 in the first segment (assuming it's the 4th group of digits) is like 290 quadrillion.

I have it now, and I must say that it is a lot better than it sounds here.
I know I've have some deaths which didn't look like they were, and the loading is pretty bad, but the game itself is really good.

I think Takumi should've transparenced the score bonus numbers or drew them at a lower depth than the bullets. That charge meter is a little too big compared to what you see in GW1. However, I can cope with the 30FPS myself.

Good replay there, Kiken. :)

GWG is reasonably good for the first Type-X port, but I'm sure future ones will be better still. Let's hope Raiden III has Tate- it's not Taito's fault that Tate isn't in GWG, since Dragon Blaze does have it. Why no Tate, Takumi?
Kinect? KIN NOT.

It's also nice that Takumi chose to make the bullets more like those in Mars Matrix (easy to see, and animated somewhat to stand out from everything else) rather than making every single one of them flash and strobe like in GW2. That crap gives me a headache after a while >_<
