The blog entry above states that the platform is still yet to be decided. If it's doujin, I would assume PC as the licensing costs are zero. Even the DC is probably a few hundred yen per print. PS2? Forget about it. If this is technically a doujin game, it's most likely going to be on the PC.

He also says that the title, Broken Thunder is due to copyright infringment. Guess they sold the Thunderforce title to someone.

That's assuming they would use GDs, rather than going the full homebrew way. Then again, having Sega's support to sell your stuff may be worth the price.

I just soiled myself in glee. I'm excited about this, regardless of platform or whether it's "official" or not. Any continuation of the series (as long as it's done w/ care) would be welcome.

*YAWN* FMV...

It's like they showed nothing about the game.

I'm gonna try and get my hands on one of those preview discs.

Someone mentioned in this thread that some of the original members are working on this.... How do you know/find out?
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I think someone's mentioned in this forum before that FACTORY NOISE consists of the original TF composers, but I could be wrong otherwise.

That's simply what it stated on that blog.

Has anyone mentioned the Factory Noise homepage yet?

http://www.factory-noise-ag.com/index.php

I didn't run a translator, but everything looks to be music based......

It's about time. The music in the trailer was "R.V.R.-03G-SWORDBREAKER" but it DID sound a bit different than the album version. Just a little slower. I can finally rest now. I downloaded the ST as sson as I heard about it in SEPT. I also bought it but I had it sent home as I am in Afghanistan--anyway I hope there is goign to be another contest for this like there was with V---So I can retain my dominance and crown!!

The video might be amateurish but I find it has an awesome feel. Sorta of framey, like anime. There was care put into that.

Interesting, it seems they helped distribute soundtracks for some of the Shanghai Alice games. I wonder if this means they are close to the doujin community.

We need TF 6. I love the series and been waiting for years, something to surpass Gradius V quality and I would be very happy.

I break my self-imposed silence to greet Reverend Campbell, too. I remember that thread where he replied to each and every single comment in an inflammatory way. And I'm still losing sleep because of what he told me about my grammar. Not.

I agree because that movie was awesome and this site does have a good bit of cockage on it these days. But i still like Turrican (you know, he's entitled to an opinion) and think you're a douche for getting mad at the intarnets.

if it happens, sounds like it could be the 'Pulstar' of the Thunder Force series.

Pulstar as everyone knows was made by ex-Irem people under the name Aicom. it was basicly an unofficial R-Type game for the Neo-Geo.

I'm hoping it happens, and that it's really good. I hope it is for PC and gets ported to Xbox 360 and PS3.

but i refuse to get too excited for now....

I really enjoyed the little movie! I thought stylistically it looked totally over the top with the ultra bright colours and raining showers of bullets but that was all cool, and the way the ships moved around was very nicely anime looking. The mechs also reminded me a little bit of the Hyper Duel transformed ships, which in itself was quite exciting.

Damn I hope this games gets released eventually.

Wow! I just recently found out about the canceled Thunder Force VI game for Dreamcast, and had lost hope. I immediately downloaded the two soundtracks and have been listening to them almost non-stop. This post gives me new hope. Man, Thunder Force VI. I can't freakin wait! :D

Finally got to watch the video. I'm pretty excited it looks interesting enough. It's weird, the game intros or in this case videos for Thunderforce games have a energy about them that no other game can seem to replicate. Just watching something like that makes your heart beater faster and you want to kick some ass. *-neo
