Cleaning the Dreamcast lens

Post by louisg »

Would anyone know what a safe way to clean the DC lens is? It stopped reading certain discs, but wiping the lense with my finger seems to temporarily fix it (though I'm sure that's not great for the equipment).

Use a... wait for it.... wait for it..... lens cloth!

:)

Either that, or go buy one of those "fine cloth" cd cleaners. Definitely don't use your finger.
I got mad gigabytes.

Use a little isopropyl on a cotton swab. Make sure it's pure isopropyl, as some of the solutions that you can find it in (Windex, etc)) have a tendency to melt plastic.
