Of course it's arcade only, because it only had a Arcade release. Well the format for the scores are this:

score-stage-plane-medal level

Oh yeah, everything must be normal!!

You only get three planes.
Difficulty is 4
Extend is: 1st Level 10
2nd Level 25
Bomb stocks is 3

Make sure you check your game configuration in the game to make sure everything is right.

Have fun, that's where it counts!

Is autofire allowed?... Strictly to save my finger and button from massive abuse. It doesn't look like you can overload the firepower by hitting it insainly fast, so I'm thinking it shouldn't give any other real advantage.

I don't utilize a rapid fire circuit for 19XX, mainly because the charge shot is used much more often. Personally, I don't see a problem with players using it though. It's just convenience, as is most often the case.

Thanks! I've been clearing the game over and over this week here (and been posting on namakoHQ about it) and I'm making less mistakes than in the past now.

I don't have any problems with any bosses, apart from the final boss (big black jet) where I hide at the bottom corners and hold bomb when the bullets come across and release when they come across again. I'm doing alright with wiggling up and down quickly in the corners of the screen when I have no bombs left.
