finally, some decent Batrider and Pink Sweets replays

As always, thanks to danmaku gata for the heads-up.

Check out this guy's replay page for replays of Batrider Advanced course with Chitta (stgs 5 thru 8 ), Pink Sweets stg. 5 and the loop of Ketsui.

I haven't watched the Ketsui stuff yet, but GER does well with the other two (although nothing record-breaking...he "only" gets a B-score on APB). Seeing as how there's a dearth of good Batrider or PS footage from Japanese players on the web, I thought I'd share.

(Note: if the site says temporarily unavailable, just give it a few minutes).

Edit: Just watched the Ketsui stuff and holy smokes! he messes DOOM up!

Man, that Pink Sweets video is GREAT! Stage 5 with Lace A-type. Finally a really skilled player, it's getting me more excited to go back and play the game again. He medals through the level, and he picks up a stream of powerups in many spots, which shocked me. Too bad he didn't show the boss fight, however. I see his top score is a C score, not bad.

I'm downloading some of the other stuff now. Thanks for posting the link.

Yea the PS video is quite skilled, I hope he posts more.

It looks like Ketsui's Ura loop chews him up pretty good. Once his credit is finished he feeds it coins to practice the last level (also looks like he fiddled with the default ship stock).

Is there not any videos anywhere that shows playing against the red boss on the highway in Batrider?

No new scoring tricks in those Batrider plays. -_-;;
(Fails to trigger Bashinet-R as well. And takes the hard way through the turrets before Discharge.)
The Pink Sweets replay is nice. Good to see a different ship and actual scoring in play.

The guy just updated his site, he replaced the stages 5-8 Batrider vids with an ALL vid, Advanced Course (D score). I'm downloading it now. Fingers crossed he uploads some more Pink Sweets vids soon.

Batrider replays are few and far between.

I've just watched the 'D' Advance ALL (no team). Its a solid and shall we say 'human' score, which still raises questions about where Laos's other 16mil came from

I've picked up some new scoring strategies from it and will look to equal it with a 'team' run. My medalling is never good on the last 2 stages, so I make up for the deficit by triggering more bosses with a team. The only problem with the team-advance runs are that the rank is not very tameable due to the extra length of the run. Last time I reached final Stage 9 with a team (after destroying Grubby then Glow Squid), I entered the last stage on my last life, but the rank was still very bad indeed, so much so - that the screen was flickering on and off due to the processor not being able to handle the masses of shit coming down at me.

I will take a leaf out of GER's book and pick up all the powerups, thereby avoiding the chance of accidently triggering Special Power Ups (making the rank worse).

this guy's page is now hosting muchi pork videos. couldn't tell you if they're good replays or not because i don't know the first thing about this game.

but does anyone still have the batrider advanced course D replay that they could upload to super-play or somewhere?

The MuchiMuchi Pork videos were posted in the respective thread few days ago. It's a pretty solid run by GER.

Also, I'd like to see this 'D' score video.

Just watched the video, and I must say that is a good run. Like DEL has said several posts above, it makes you wonder about LAO's score because it seems... impossible to attain 20+ million points.

i only see the muchi muchi pork play through on that replay page. have the pink sweets and ketsui been removed?

can anyone maybe upload the pink sweets video to megaupload or something? i really need to see some skilled player play it to get better at it myself.

It's only a video of Stage 5, with Lace. It's good, but not spectacular. Watching it probably will not help you very much with the game in general.
