Somewhere like mobygames might be a place to start, or we could try to build one here.
Here's a starting point:
Thunderforce (?)
Thunderforce 2 (Megadrive)
Thunderforce 3 (Megadrive, Saturn)
Thunderforce AC (Arcade, Saturn)
Thunderforce 4 (Megadrive, Saturn)
Thunderforce V (PS1, Saturn)
Thunder Spirits (SNES)
Hyper Duel (Arcade, Saturn)
Blast Wind (Saturn)
Herzog Zwei (Megadrive)
Elemental Master (Megadrive)
Dragons Fury (Megadrive)
See also:

I don't know how many really exist, I know some from the above are missing on that page.

It's called "Kyuutenkai: Fantasic [sic] Pinball". Came out on Saturn and PSX. I like it a lot, but it is missing that certain 'je ne sais quoi" of Devil's Crush.TWITCHDOCTOR wrote:There's also a pinball game called, "Fantastic Pinball". Its for the Sega Saturn.
Yea, I have it...I like pinball, but this title is "ok" at best. Its a good pinball video game, its just no Last Gladiators/ Necronomicon.

Tecnosoft did a lot of very obscure games for old 8 bit computers. You're never going to find a complete list.
And Thunderforce 1 did NOT come out for the MSX or C64 or SMS. It came out on the Sharp X1, the NEC PC-8801, and the Fujitsu FM-7. It may have also came out on the NEC PC-6001, but I can't confirm it.
I started a thread about Thunder Force 1 a month or so ago, actually. The game still hasn't come in yet, but it should be here within 2 or 3 weeks.

I tried Feedback on a rom. It's a space harrier like game with powerups. Depth perception is a bit harder than I would like, though.gameoverDude wrote:Here's some info I dredged up from generation-msx.nl :

Reverthion for Playstation and Hyper Reverthion for Saturn were the mech fighting games.

It was some sort of 3D game like Cybersled and Virtual On.
trying to gather some info/pics on both versions of Reverthion. will edit-in as I find stuff.

http://www.maniac.de/oldhome/reviews/sa ... hyper.html
apparently Steeldom was the follow-up to Reverthion / Hyper Reverthion

Feedback on MSX was nice.... I remember when I first got it, I got gobsmacked with the graphics on it. The first boss looked amazing!
they used to call themselves "Tecno Soft" two words, without the H in "Techno".
They also made Herzog on MSX
What MSX Generation calls as "D" was usually called "SF-Violence" , which is one of the worst games I ever played. It's top-down perspective shooter with RPG elements on it (Let's say, a crossover between Alien Breed and Metal Gear). Problem is, the game is TOO DAMN FAST when the screen is stationary, and INCREDIBLY JERKY AND SLOW when the screen is scrolling. You just can't imagine how much frustating in this. You usually end up just going straight in a direction, just to keep the screen scrolling so the game has a constant, jerky frame rate, and suddenly you face a wall, which makes the screen stops for 1 second, and then everything goes at a blazing speed.
Ok, the MSX has difficulty handling scroll, but that's a joke. Look at Firehawk: Thexder 2 to see how it can be done in a good way.
Herzog also is very cool. It's the prequel to Herzog Zwei. It's really much like a scaled down Herzog Zwei. It was very cool for the time.
Tanuki Adventure it's... weird.... weird as hell. I remember people used to call this game "Negooli Panda" for some reason. It's a platform game with cute, cartoonish graphics (As much as an MSX 1 can handle), where you control something that resembles a panda. You can kick and punch your enemies (Monkeys, Pelicans, bears and other animals). When the game starts all you can do is go to the right. Right in the beggining a monkey appears to kick your ass, but all enemies run in the SAME speed as you, and there's only 1 enemy on screen at time. So if you just go to right, he will keep following you but never will reach you. So you just go right without stopping, and nothing will harm you. Then in the way there are some arrows. To get past to the arrow, you have to press its direciton on the pad. It's really weird, and it has no purpose. After sometime you find a hole in the ground that you have to jump (The monkey still following you). If you fall in the hole, you're dead and it's GAME OVER. If you jump it, the monkey fall on it, and other enemy shows up (Usually a pelican). Then you just keep going right, jump holes, avoding enemies (There's no reason to fight them if you can just jump them, and they will never hit you), up until you find an X in what seems the end of the stage. The the screen gets stuck, you keep on fight bears endlessly until your energy is depleted and it's GAME OVER .
There's probably more in the game (In the start there's an option to enter a password....), but I never saw anything more than this. I tried dozens of different things, and never saw anything else than that in the game.
So.. on "Weird 8 bits computers" ... that's what I've played from "Tecno Soft" on MSX.'
EDIT: Oh, they also made Backgammon on MSX, which is.. a Backgammon game. A very good one actually, as good as a backgammon may be
. Some people always complained that the AI was coded to CHEAT as they would always get the right dice numbers, heh

Actually, Technosoft was their US name. Try playing an early Japanese Technosoft game like Thunder Force III on a US Genesis and you'll get the "Techno Soft" logo (with a space and a capital s in soft). If you put some US Techno Soft games into a Japanese Mega Drive, you'll get the "Tecno Soft" logo. I'm not sure if this works with every early Technosoft game, but it certainly works with Thunder Force III. It seems like Technosoft was confused about the US logo since I have seen it written as "Technosoft", "Techno Soft" and "Techno soft".Shatterhand wrote:they used to call themselves "Tecno Soft" two words, without the H in "Techno".
Here's scans of the Saturn Nekketsu Oyako front and back box at a yahoo japan auction.
http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n14041637
And yes, it appears to be an arcade game originally. If you note, there are two copyrights on the back of the case, 1994 and 1995. Which leads me to believe the arcade game was released in 1994, and the saturn rev in 1995. (EDIT: Nevermind. I see the PS rev was released in 1994, hence the dual copyrights on the Saturn version. It doesn't look like there was an arcade version...)

This page has a list of every game (supposedly) Tecnosoft did for the PC-6001. That should give you an idea of the massive amount of games they churned out in the early 80's, and that's just for one computer.
Nekketsu just means "Hot Blooded." The games are not related in any way. Technos is also not in any way related to Tecno Soft.BrianC wrote:Does Nekketsu Oyako have anything at all to do with the Downtown Nekketsu series? I know the others are Technos and not Technosoft, but I am curious about the name.
There was no arcade version of Nekketsu Oyako.
