Yep, the Gamebox PCB's just a PC in a Jamma box setup...
For D,
You're absolutely right...those generic "Gamebox" Jamma PCBs are nothing more than a generic PC with a generic Arcade VGA Card outputted to an 56-pin Jamma edge interface running Windows 98 Second Edition OS in MS-DOS mode set for automatic to boot-up/run DOSMame program + a few other various utility programs such as ZSnes Key, etc.
It would be better to get an Arcade VGA Card + VGA-to-Jamma interface along with a dedicated PC tower to run your favorite arcade emu programs such as DOSMame, Mame32, Raine, etc. (and cheaper as well if if one already has an older "working" PC tower lying around).
------------------------------
For Shotgunfacelift,
It's easy to add more Roms to your 450-in-1 Gambox PCB by simply removing it & hooking it up to another PC tower setup to custom-configure the arcade Roms to run properly with the DOSMame emulation.
It's the DOS ArcadeOS front-end program that allows one to choose his or her favorite arcade Rom from the main menu selection screen.
Both your 1000-in-1 & 450-in-1 Gamebox PCBs have more than enough ample room to add your favorite arcade shmup Roms & whatever else you like. ^_~
Also FYI, the 101-in-1 "Vertical-screen oriented" Gamebox Jamma PCB only takes up a mere 699MB overall disk partition on a modest 17.3GB HDD -- still plently of room for additional Roms to add to it, right? ^_~

Why this kind of attitude shotgun???Shotgunfacelift wrote:Thats a shame.landshark wrote:not likely.Shotgunfacelift wrote: Ban this fool.
Pissing people off (especially people like twe who are well liked) is not the best way to go about things when you're new. Calm it down a wee bit.
Too many orde4s to the mods for bans are going about these days instead of sensible replys.

Mods, please lock. These 450-in-1 boards are completely illegal.zinger wrote:This is getting tedious Shotgunfacelift.
Maybe many of us actually want to discuss these boards!
So if a few of you kept your opinions to yourself then it would be a much better forum!
Everyone has an opinion "just like an asshole"
And may i add that MANY people on other COOL forums think that the users on here think they are elitists wankers.
Sorry to inform you of the truth!
