GC shmups

Post by Monk 0 Nuggets »

There aren't too many are there? As far as I know there are only:

US:
Ikaruga
Chaos Field
Radilgy (coming soon)

Is there any more US releases?

Is there any Imports worth getting?

Do you guys think the GC will get a bunch of ports in the not so distant future like the DC has gotten?

(I'm trying to find more uses for my new Hori pad)

Well, in terms of imports you can chalk up Shikigami no Shiro II as a decent title for the GC.

Another US shooter (borderline) is Space Raiders.

And Karous is probably coming to Gamecube later this year (import and domestic).
There is also Star Soldier on the import side (if you can find a copy).

No.
Hell, it hasn't been getting games, and the shmups list is pathetic.

Do you know if it is pretty much the US release of it on PS2?

I highly recommend Star Soldier. It is also good idea to get the Hori pad to play this great game.

As mentioned in a recent thread, the PS2 version is the least attractive visually. The GC looks great, but so do the XBOX and DC versions.

Could always try P.N.03, I know it looks like a 3rd person actioner but it realy does play more like a shmup crossed with a rhythm game .. definatly unique however not to all tastes id guess.
