Solar Assault in Mame 1.05

Post by postman »

So I install the newest Mame, boot it up, change the gamelist to version 105 to see what's been added, and lo and behold, Solar Assault!

This is a little off topic being a Starfox 3-D type game, but it is the Gradius series, and lots of people have been waiting to play this, myself included.......

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Gradius Homeworld has a really nice page devoted to the game. I can't wait until this is up and running in MAME, but i bet it's still gonna be awhile. How many years you think guys?

£10 says they'll get it just barely running within the next 3 years, and then say "Yup, it's working. Ish. Onto the next game!".

As per usual.

I've played this. Anyone interested in doing so, if you ever go to Walt Disney World check out any arcade you find, they've got a bunch of machines.

It's not particularly good. I mean, it's okay and all, but Starfox it ain't.

I bet once it IS running, you'll need something better than an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 to run it fullspeed.
