Thoughts on Homura?
As it is getting a budget release at the end of this month, I was beginning to think about picking it up. I watched a replay vid though, and it looks... Horrendously easy? And many of the boss patterns are totally avoidable by sitting still in the right spot at the bottom middle of the screen? I dunno, what are everyone's thoughts on this game?

when it was first released i played and quickly tossed it aside as "not interesting" until a few months ago i dug it up again and played it. i suddenly understood the system and i started to enjoy tremendously! take a moment to get into the every extend-kind of gameplay where you have to bomb yourself to make chains and you’ll find yourself playing a lovely game. also, the music is very pretty. anyone know if there is an ost of it?

I like it a lot. I don't think it gets the amount of attention it should. The melee slash and reflect slash are balanced throughout the stages and it has a lot of good patterns. It might be easier to stay at the bottom of the screen and dodge, though the game gets quite hectic, but you don't want to be doing that if you want to score. On bosses, you want to position yourself at the base of the pattern where it's spawning off of the boss to reflect back as many bullets as possible to maximize your score.
Feedback will set you free.

Great game that i will continue to play for a long time. And it certainly is not easy, by any stretch of the imagination. In fact by the fourth stage it becomes completely insane and takes a lot of play to survive never mind score.
I'd say pick it up as i think it's one of the most entertaining shmups i've played in a while.

Manuals! Sounds silly but paper can weigh down the parcel loads also differnt games weigh differnt amounts thus is a safty thing so that you and the seller don't get ripped off on postage so to speak.Cranky wrote:Thanks for that mate. Last time I checked (a while ago now) Amazon UK didn't deliver to Oz. Why the hell are the delivery prices for video games more expensive than DVD's though?
