I'd expect LAOS's 29mil Batrider Advanced ALL to replace that as the most intense replay if it is ever found/released.
That must be sick. Very sick!
Apart from Jap Master stuff, the best first-hand runs I've watched are;
*Mill's Raiden DX (PCB) 3rd Loop onwards (1 lifeing into the 4th loop ).
*Mill's Raiden DX (PS1) Arcade 4 skill level run - which I still have on memory card. I'll dig it out and see if it still plays. Its better than the 'Master of Raiden' run that comes with the game.
*Mill's Strikers 1945 (PCB) 1 life 2-ALL runs.
The most insane thing i've ever seen is Ex Mosquito's Strikers 1945 II superplay. The final boss is the fastest thing i've ever seen and it really is astounding to see.

I received my copy of the DVD today. There is one run on the dvd, and the players initials are hidden at the end of the run for some reason.
The dvd shows the screen, and both players hands during the run kind of like the VTF-INO videos. Overall the replay is very fun to watch and the player only dies a few times. The end boss battle is somewhat anticlimactic as the boss dies so fast it doesn't have time to get off its last two attacks. The amount of fire power that two ships have at point blank range is impressive in mushihime sama.
A DDP DOJ replay, absolutely batshit insane. And BGR's Gradius 3 one loop run, he died a few times (once after beating the first boss, a bug apparently stayed behind and killed him), but to see him escape some tight situations, something I can do sometimes.
Kiken's Gradius 2 subtitled superplay, first subtitled superplay I ever saw, really showed what he was thinking as he went through every stage, eventually 1 LCing the Duo version.

Maybe he is a DP lover but he has an exclusive (regarding Mushi) with INH, who knows...
Anyway, Maniac, right?

my mom making it to 1-3 in Strikers 1999 in one credit. we were playing two player, but still, my mom.
honestly, the only other plays i've seen in person have been my own, considering the only other people i know who play shooters are all the distinguished gentlemen (and a handful of women) of this board.
Given that Ketsui is the only really painful Cave game that I've putten time into, I feel that those are the most intense, b/c I know a lot about the patterns and how hard they are.
Best I've witnessed in person?
-Zuho getting to Progear 2-5, after not having played it for almost a year.
-TAC playing ESPGaluda 2 like a fucking ninja.

Just finished watching a bunch of Garegga inputs.
Best ones? Chitta - 15.47mil ALL, a Wild Snail NO MISS ALL, and a No Option ALL, all by Japanese player KET.
They aren't so much intense, but they are very impressive displays of game and system knowledge. Low-score replays are all the rage these days, it seems. ^_-

I'd like to see this.
Sure. With all replays, make sure you have the battlega ROMset (Japanese ver), and set display mode to Match Game Refresh Rate. Turn off screen stretching if you want crispy graphics, and TATE as usual.
Also, to contribute something in this thread... Since Mushihimesama Futari just came out, but the Ultra mode that was posted on the Japanse torrent site is pretty intense. Very intense.
I'm eager to see a more polished full run through every levels on Ultra mode.
could someone please make an .avi file out of the chitta 15mill replay and upload it somewhere (super-play.co.uk) ??
i can't replay .inps and im too much of a raizing fan to miss this video
My mind doesn't grasp this vid. When that boss lets off a huge ball of shit (2.06), why doesn't the ship explode? Surely he can't see where he's flying? And he doesn't seem to be continuously leveling up either. I feel so petty after seein this...
RotateMe wrote:Is it usual that on Superplay DVDs you have a second screen where you can see the player or at least his hands? If so I will try to grab some
That's normally only done for Double-Play demonstrations (for validity). Some of the INH DVDs (Mushi and Trizeal/XII Stag) do feature an additional techniques section that display the players' hands in order to illustrate what they're doing.

Memorization and abusing the hell out of invincibility. During the times that he isn't leveling up he's positioning the ship to evade the bullets and prep for another round of invincibility.
gamest vol.39. omake section (i think).
DDP, final boss fight.
the player drops a few bombs, runs out of them and then looses a life on the bee's first form. player respawns, drops a couple bombs, 1st form crumbles.
bee changes into 2nd form (angry mode), the player dodges some attack, and drops his remaining bombs, until no more bombs in stock.
at this point the player dodges all four different attacks w/o dying (crazy shit).
bee changes into final form (seriously pissed off mode).
the screen gets clutterfucked, and guess what? the player outdodges the whole spiral like purple spam sequence w/o bombing and dying. godlike.
sure, the bullets arent as fast as in gunbirdII/DOJ/etc. and the blue ship makes the minute dodging easier, but the skills on display are monsterous nonetheless (hey, i think i heard this before!).
no idea why the video is not hosted on superplay, but oh well.

That DDP thing you're talking about isn't actually in the OMAKE, it's at the end of the normal run.
Another reason it isn't hosted is likely because every copy I've ever found of it is horrible horrible quality and a huge mpeg2 file. (in addition to being split into 334234234 files). If the quality wasn't so bad i'd reencode+join it to avi, but I'm afraid it would be nearly unviewable if passed through another round of re-encoding.
I provoked this guy I know as Virus, when he was nearly staggering drunk to show me his Raiden Fighters Jet skills. He watched me playing the fairy and he's insulting me saying "You're playing the fucking fairy! It's so slow. You are a fairy." And so on, I found that amusing like he and his buddies nicknamed the Miclus the "Muslim(s)"
So, this guy has a 100 mil slave score on the machine (US version) and I got him to play. He fucks up on the first level, and to his dismay of dying puts his head near the joystick and continues to bash the bomb button with his fist until his bombs were out and he died.
I was disappointed... and, that was the last (and only) time I saw him play.
