Yep, why do you think I try to insist on playing in an arcade. Its for that reason. Especially for the tight gaps in manics. 26" screens make things easier for sure. One thing I just found out for myself is playing on a proper cabinet makes a huge difference in score. When I played Ibara using a supergun connected to a tv, the boss attacks seemed unfair and difficult to dodge. On a cab, the screen is so large that these attacks now seem very reasonable and not so difficult to get past. If you aren't playing on a proper cabinet, you are at a disadvantage in my opinion.

Now imagine what scores Mr. MonkeyMan would get if he wasn't playing on his supergun with tiny screen!DEL wrote:zlk wrote;Yep, why do you think I try to insist on playing in an arcade. It´s a small plastic ball as big as a tennis ball, with a small weight in it that you slowly rotate with your wrist. While you do this, the inner part starts spinning, some sort of force feedback, and a resistant force builds up. The more forceful you spin it, the heavier it gets. Its a good training for the hands, wrists, and forearms. It´s also huge fun, though not very easy to pull off at the beginning.

I don't remember what my score was in Dodonpachi (probably something horrendously low), but I did make it to the chapter 4 boss for the first time yesterday ^_^ Not TOO bad considering how much time I've put into it.
The powerball is basically a handheld gyroscope I believe. The more momentum you give it, the more force it exerts trying to lay out flat (it's what gyroscopes do), thus the feeling of it getting heavier. It is an incredible workout for your forearm, wrist, and grip to a lesser extent, and it can be annoyingly difficult to get going at first.

Yeah, that's why its called MILLS TEAM and not DELZ TEAM. initYEAH RIGHT! you dissed the thing before you even tried it out, you septic. thats probably why your wrist skills are not good enough to loop the old FireShark (which had taken me 3 plays to loop it).
your score was only a fraction above mine anyway RA RA
