London Meet 4!! (Feb 23rd to 25th + extra days)
!
ill6 - You don't have to put a game in for more than 1 weekend. Bob comes in on Fridays and Sundays from 6pm.
Install on Friday, remove on Sunday.
I wouldn't want your board burning up in the arcade for more than 3 days or 1 week & the removal is simple, I could even do it for you if you're not around on Sunday.

Because he moved a chair, iirc.LUNardei wrote:Lol, why?DEL wrote:True words coming from the man who got physically ejected from the Trocadero during London Meet IITrocadero is not co operative in any way, in fact if they had things their way no one would ever go in there.

Anyway, a few weeks before London Meet II, masamune wanted to move a chair, & this security guard refused then barred masamune for being so impudent as to having asked for a chair to be moved.
So, on the day, we're playing a bit of Raiden III and this same security guard calls all the other guards down to eject masamune.
We argue, get nowhere & make note of the guy's face
.
Yep, the security guards in the Troc don't know the difference between a Gamer and a sub-16yr old troublemaker (many of whom regularly cause the whole Trocadero to be closed for the day, due to troublemaking for no reason behaviour).Herr Schatten wrote:

LOL, this is totally insane

I agree. Now I only have to convince my boss to give me a few days off.Icarus wrote:Well, if no one objects, we'll make the date of the main meet the 24th + 25th Feb (plus a few days before and after for those who want to stick around and do stuff like shop, see the sights and visit other peeps in the city).
All in agreement?
!
Yes, friday 24th Feb - Sat 25th.
Now I've gotta get working in earnest on Casino.
Ketsui is guaranteed & in good working order on a sit-down cab.
Mush is guaranteed.
I'll put my Batrider in the R.F.Jet stand-up cab in the back & get Bob to fix the joystick.
The 4th cab is now the problem, as there are no other vert screens in Casino worth a damn!....The 4th cab should be for a new game, such as Ibara Black Label.
Trocadero - Strikers 1945 is fine in a candy cab for a Mills replay recording.
Raiden III joysticks are playing up a bit, but Mills is point blanking the top of the screen for the whole of stage 1, which looks kinda snazzy!
(Again, good for replay recording

It's like being in a jury.

Anyway, those dates sound fine, so I've changed the first post of the thread with some more info. I think it's best to decide a meeting time and place a little closer to the day, which will make it easier for everyone to get together.
Obviously some peeps will be coming a day or two earlier than the proposed weekend, therefore if people want to meet up earlier, it'd be handy to have contact info so we can keep in touch (handy if some people get lost on the way or something). Again, that'll be sorted out closer to the day.
Finally, any London residents have any decent maps (printable preferred) for overseas and non-London visitors to use? Directions would be nice, it's been a couple of years since I was last down in London, and while I can find my way around the city centre by memory no problem, give me a street name and I'm lost. ^_-

First of all let's confirm that date. The second thing is book the flight. Done that, we can immediately start thinking about an earlier meet up

Whaddayawant?
ARC has offered to put Ketsui back in the arcade before the Feb Meet. Alternatively, he could install DDP DOJ.
Or
You name it...EspGaluda 2....wot?
I'm open to suggestions....particularly from you ill6.

ill6 - Seeing as you don't have the Campaign Edition, what new'ish boards do you have available? (1 only would be picked from the list).
Thanks for the offer! We would only need 1 board I reckon, and only for the short time around the Meet. Plus, never worry about skills at meets, just come down and have fun.No point asking me... I am shit at all of them... Happy to supply the boards though.

Espgaluda 2 in Kakusei over mode would be quite good for a Namako team contest actually - I had a couple of games that way after seeing Twe's challenge - it makes for quite a short, simple and fun game, unlike playing the game properly for score using the zeshikkai mode which takes much longer and is really dull to watch I think.

oh what! this i would NOT like to miss.....mulletgeezer wrote: a Namako team contest

@ill6: as DEL said 'just come down and have fun'.....
im the one should be worrying, im probably the worst shmupper on this site!!!
we chat, have some beers, sit back and watch the shows.....
