Guwange > Air Gallet > Batrider > Blazing Star > Star Force > Dragon Blaze
And Guwange is my favorite, even if I was really starting to hate this game after the first days. But then I started to get addicted this weekend.
However this order does not neccessarily resemble how much I like certain games, it is which game was most entertaining to play in the STGT for me. And I have to admit I was a bit dissapointed in Star Force, the value of the Cleopatra bonus didn't feel that balanced. And didn't like Dragon Blaze, as I generally don't like Psikyo games. (it wasn't that bad actually)
Well, In the end I found all games to be fun. Hope to see most of you joining next year again.
Guwange > Batrider >> Dragon Blaze > Blazing Star > Air Gallet > Starforce
All the games were good but generally the games that had more strategy to talk about were the best as they lead to a lot of interesting discussion on our team forum as well as much more stimulating play. Anybody who was playing without discussing strategy with their team mates missed out on a big part of the competition IMO. Also the games with less interesting scoring systems started to drag after a few days, if we have simpler games in the future I think they shouldn't be played for a whole week.
I´d have to say Dragon Blaze, followed by Air Gallet and Blazing Star. I had no time to play APB and Guwange but I´m not too fond of either of them. Star Force is my favourite game of all time.
Great tournament! My compliments to the organizers.
I only got to play Dragon Blaze and Star Force, the two ported games. The port of Star Force on XBOX was lame; I might have liked this game more had I been playing a better one.
Obviously I liked Dragon Blaze best. It's my favorite game period. I'm almost to 1-6 now with a decent score, but I have little hope of getting beyond 1-6. Ever.
Batrider gave me pretty much. At first I hated it so damn much but now I'm actually playing it pretty much. Well, I broke that one keyboard becouse of that but... that's nothing. Btw, this topic was useful for me during this tournament. Becouse I know...
Air Gallet... I just can't get myself like that game.
Guwange & Batrider > Blazing Star > Dragon Blaze > Air Gallet > Star Force
I love Guwange and Batrider in equal measure, so they are tied as my games of the tournament (and I'll still be playing both to try and top my records). Despite some of its flaws and unbalanced scoring in particular stages, I really enjoyed Blazing Star.
Team strategy discussion for the win. A good scoring system with depth promotes strat chat between team mates, making the games more enjoyable to play.
Batrider > Guwange > Dragon Blaze > Blazing Star > Air Gallet > Star Force
Strangely, I enjoyed Batrider more than Guwange in the tournament, probably because of the odd rank and secrets that it has. It made for an interesting week working out the best way to approach the game.
That's mean, if I can't vote I can't see the results. no no it's just fair but it would be cool if someone could provide the results in text form when the poll is over or whatever
I'd say the best game might have been Armed Police Batrider, the only game I didn't have any time to commit to.
Otherwise, Dragon Blaze > Air Gallet >> Blazing Star > Guwange > Star Force.
Liked:
Dragon Blaze
Batrider (once I actually paid attention to rank )
Air Gallet
Liked at first, then disliked:
Guwange
Disliked:
Starforce
Blazing Star
I probably won't play any of these ever again. Probably won't play in the next tournament, either. I don't regret playing this time, but I don't think I'd want to force myself to play a bunch of games that I mildly like (at best) only to consistently finish in the middle of the pack again (I suck and I lack determination, boo hoo!).
I agree with Davey's post almost entirely. Lucky for me the game choices coincided with 2 games I already wanted to like/play, but never bothered with since they were MAME/PCB-only (Batrider and Guwange) and one game I had been meaning to play again (Dragon Blaze). Not surprisingly I liked those and Air Gallet best, which was almost like Psikyo week pt. 2.
Blazing Star was too long, boring. And with Star Force had the worst of the huge scoring chunk coming from x location. Star Force sucked.
Batrider turned out to be my favorite (the only one I played after the week ended) and I never had a problem with bullet visibility, which was one of the things that turned me off of it when I first tried it out. Dragon Blaze was fun, but obviously the least challenging to me (the only game I stopped playing seriously by the weekend - the others always ended in an insane rush of play with less than fulfilling results, except for Star Force because it sucked).

As I've been busy as balls I've only gotten to put real time into the last week. I attempted Dragon Blaze and Blazing Star. Blazing Star was okay, but it never clicked w/ me. I hated Dragon Blaze, but then again, I hate almost all Psikyo games, so it's kind of expected. Sue me.

I voted Dragon Blaze. seems im only good at Psykio games. I scored most points for my team in that round and completely sucked in all the other rounds.
Where can I see the final standings? Hope I didnt come dead last
I just hope we get either of the Raiden Fighters series for the next STGT I've been out of practice lately
