Yeah, saw some screenshots on IGN:

My big question is how this game will control, with the PSP only having one analog stick.

They'll just use the four face buttons for firing.
Feedback will set you free.

I actually liked the Xbox version. It wasn't a bad price either. I'm all for more shmups on the PSP.

If they map the firing to the face buttons, there will be no way to activate special weapons. Let's see...right trigger to change mode, left trigger to fire missiles...i suppose there are other ways, but they seem clumsy.

Map them to the D pad?

well Xyanide has been a muli-platform game from the beginning (n-gage, gba, psp & xbox(360)).

i'm still very disappointed & pissed off that they canceled the gba iteration. the screen shots of Xyanide Advance look so beautiful and i was looking forward to it so much!

They appear to have turned the cancelled Xyanide GBA project into "Xyanide 2D" for Java cellphones.

You can find full details and screenshots HERE. It certainly looks very similar to the cancelled GBA one; don't know what (if any) differences it may have.

It's completely different to Xyanide for Symbian cellphones released a few years ago.

thanks for the info Thunder Force, much appreciated! glad to know that the game did get a release of some sort as i thought it looked lovely. it's pity that's on a phone though. phones aren't for playing and on top of that i don't have a mobile phone. :(

don't suppose you can play this java game on a computer, huh? :(
