Is it possible to get cheap wallmount LCD/Plasma monitors in the 30"+ range that aren't widescreen?

A new Mushi Futari Location test is underway!

http://location.sega.jp/loc_web/cs_akihabara.html

It's at Club Sega in Akihabara. So you guys in Japan can head down there and play it a bit more. Though it'll be a bit different from the initial version displayed at Hey a few weeks back.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I never go to Club Sega because HEY is right next door, but I'll stop in when this shows up. Isn't the game supposed to be officially released next month anyways?

Right, that's why I said "underway". How is it?

It's also on Location test at these locations: Yokohama Carrot, and Taito Game World in Shinjuku.
Also, here's some more new youtube vids of the new rev, note all the extra bullets in maniac mode! Looks very similar to the first game in this regard:

Played it today without the long lines, thankfully. Manic has more bullets as mentioned, but Original seemed like the same. Someone finally got past the third boss and we all held our breaths for the fourth stage...the clouds part, a gorgeous detailed scene down below of a town or something looms ahead...then some giant moth comes on the screen and smokes the guy. Credit over.

And still no extra bombs or extends...

Are you the guy with the orange shirt?
I also saw that scene where he died at the giant moth.

Heh yea I was the orange shirt. When I saw a white guy come in and immediately recognize the game I wondered to myself which one of the board members he was...

twe: Yea that's it right there. I wonder if that player got there on a credit or just fed it. I was wanting to feed some coins in just to see the whole game, but there was always a line.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Man, I was in Tokyo at the time and missed it. I made a point of not going back into Club Sega after my first visit as the game selection was lacking. How I am eating my words now. Pah!

Anyone care about getting the official shirts? It'd be neat to have one, but that's a hefty price tag.

I'm still waiting to order a pair of Official Mushi Undies...basically, Cave sends you a package with nothing in it. :P

There's a shop across the street from HEY that sells used panties, maybe they could work out a deal.

Those shirts are a joke as far as price is concerned, about $40 a pop.
I can see Cave's new strategy now, they've figured out they can make more money (and save more time) selling T-shirts, OSTs, DVDs (like the Galuda 2 DVD) and other memorabilia than they would if they spent money (and time) developing PS2 ports. They sold the Galuda 2 superplay DVD for the same price that the Mushi and Ibara ports retailed at, and while the ports probably sold more than the DVD, the DVD had close to zero actual development costs, so overall they probably pocketed more money with it than with either port, and this is perhaps one reason why they never bothered with a Galuda 2 port. Clever folks.

Anyway, I don't mean to go OT here.

Boy, those shirts suck. The first one has some really random look to it, it could be as well for some record label or something. Not related to the game in any way. The second one is just a little bit better. Nothing you couldn`t do yourself in a copy shop or with your printer - this ones just look really dorky. The Cave shirts being sold here (the orange one with the black Cave logo) were miles ahead.

While I agree the orange shirts look much cooler, I do quite like the first white shirt on the Cave site. It's a shame they ruined it with the awful slogan on the back.

Also, the stickers (assuming that's what they are) look great. If there's any way us humble Westerners could purchase these, I'd be sure to pick a couple up.

I don't know what's more amusing: the fact that there's a shop that actually sells used panties, or the fact that you actually know where it is. ^_-

The general rule is they buy them right off the girl. I think they get extra if they can take their picture. Makes for some extra special brewed tea.

Without wishing to enter a long and pointless debate and while still trying to keep this lighthearted...... ..... I don't understand your point of view, its not like Cave is a religon or anything; if they keep making games that you never play then how does that affect you? Is it not better they keep making games to keep people interested in the scene?

Look at Neo-Geo.com, everyone went on about them stopping making games for the system because the new game were shit compared to the old ones and it was upsetting them but as soon as they stopped making games for the system the whole scene pretty much collapsed (and simultaneously moved to cave it seems!).

My guess is that you were not being serious though.. Which is fair enough.

I was not so serious, actually ;)
I've tried Pink Sweets: great game, but I'm not interested in playing it seriously. And that's not a problem, really! What I really hope is to see more original games and less sequels in the future. It's all about money, I guess, but ok, is better to have a healty and busy shmups company instead of a dying company which makes original games only ;)
