And it made me smile? Yep. The concept of this thread is really pretty simple. Share the things that recently put a smile on your face, be they major or minor happenings.

For me, finding out that Metal Slug Anthology is getting a PS2 release put a big smile on my face, as did finding a cheap and complete used copy of Castlevania for the GBA.

I had rather low expectations for Under Defeat, but after receiving it today it turned out to be better than I'd thought, at least early on anyways. Always nice to be pleasantly surprised...and at the beginning of a new semester, I'll take whatever pleasantries I can get, heh heh.

When I was watching Godzilla Final Wars last night...... I love that movie, one of my guilty pleasures.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Hearing people at the gamestore saying the PS3 will kill Sony.

Its weird being in a world where most everyone agrees with me.

In all seriousness, I watched Iron Fist Pillage the other night, and it made me smile very much.

I finally got my the horrible problem with my hard drive fixed and I finally upgraded to Mac OS10.4. It took me about 4 months to get this problem sorted out. Now I can finally run Supercollider! Bling!

When I got the re-release of Mushihimesama, I was completely caught off guard by Reko's decidedly not princess-like manner of speech. Is that an Osaka accent?

I like the scene where the real Big G kicks the crap out of his tuna-loving American counterpart, but Kitamura's directorial skill is obviously focused more towards guys in leather than guys in rubber. Kaneko's snappily titled Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (or GMK to its friends 8) ) is my favourite of the millennial Godzilla movies. None of them are a match for Heisei Gamera 3 though :P

All the great new music that was released this week (The Junior Boys, Mastodon, and the new Album Leaf CD) definitely put a smile on my face. Seeing the season two of Dr. Katz DVD set finally get a release date also pleased me to no end. :)

Last night I saw this Japanese band called Eternal Elysium. They were fucking great and heavy as hell. The drummer was so proper and jolly I had a grin on my face the whole time they played.

Buying the original, not messed around with, Han-shot-first, old Anakin at the end of ep 6, Star Wars movies.

But what really made me smile was imagining George Lucas having a pity-party, fondling a statue of Jar-Jar, cooing to himself "Only you understand me Jar-Jar...you are my original vision..."

Last night proved to be quite entertaining. Helped my friend layout/build a soon-to-be multisystem arcade stick.

...out of a ramen box.

lulz ensued.

Isn't this that famous quote that Teri Hatcher character says to Seinfeld at the end his Seinfeld TV comedy sitcom back in the 1990's (relating to her well-endowed rack for which she posed topless -- showing only her backside to the audience and boobs to Seinfeld)? ^_~

I see that one can buy the Godzilla Final Wars on the PSP UMD format besides the usual standard DVD format at my local Suncoast Pictures store (a USA-based franchise movie store that sells movies, anime, video games, etc. for our internation shmuppers -- infamous for it's fucking insane jacked up prices though on everything sold whether it be in new or used condition)... ^_~

Don't forget about the Pocky that you can buy for about 2 bucks cheaper at a random supermarket.

Well, since my flight back from the GDC in San Jose in March, aviation has become as big of a hobby as video gaming for me! So the fact that Frontier Airlines, which is based right here in Denver, has ordered this new plane:

definately makes me smile!! :D As well as photos on www.airliners.net , and flight videos on www.flightlevel350.com .

I just got an Atari 7800 this past week, and will get my first paycheck on a great new retail job on Friday.

And reflecting on the fact that, 10 years ago this week, I began my personal relationship with Christ. And His undying love, strength, and forgiveness in my life ever since!! :D

The opening cinema from the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. I've been looking forward to this entry every since I heard that basically every character from the MK universe will be in it. I enjoyed the last two games, and if this finale is anything like them, then this is going to be fun.

Oh yeah, you may recognize the narrator from a certain Blizzard game ;)

The first time slicing a baddie with the paintbrush in Okami is the best. It was the first time I realised "damn, I am a God, and I can pwn monsters with paint". And then I ran around for the next ten minutes chopping up everything in sight.

Knowing that on Sunday I can sleep all I want because I will have no homework or Cross Country. I have to get up and run at 6 tommorow morning...and then go to school.

Watching a kid at my highschool walk straight into a cement barrier was pretty funny too.

WoW leader goes apeshit.

Yes, that's likely old. But I've never seen it before, and I was laughing my ass off. Partly because I have no idea what the hell this guy's babbling about or why he gets so pissed, and partly because of the graphics.

That made me ROFL twice. One because I used to play WoW a lot and I actually understood what the guy was saying, one because of the cheesy Flash graphics that actually made the comments funnier. Good stuff. ^_^
