Is there a Dreamcast VGA cable/box which has dedicated audio tulips out that I can use for audio?
I see lots of Dreamcast VGA cables with a switch, for which I will probably have to use the head phone socket for audio. I'd rather use the white and red tulips out for stereo while also using the VGA output.
I hope that swicth does not switch the audio, because the audio should just be wired to the head phone and the audio tulips out.
Who can confirm if the audio tulips out work when the box is switched to VGA!

Re: Dreamcast VGA cable/box
There's a healthy number of DC VGA box variations but the official one released by Sega (which happens to be very difficult to find let alone expensive) has these RCA audio plugs.D wrote:Is there a Dreamcast VGA cable/box which has dedicated audio tulips out that I can use for audio?

Mine is a Treamcast branded one.
Has all the above. RCA L+R, 3.5mm jack for PC speakers, Svideo, Composite etc.
Has a switch for TV/USA/JAP. It seems to work only on JAP mode. So I'm assuming its in regards to the region of your DC, since mine is Japanese.
So what happens on Boxes that don't have JAP/USA switches, it auto configs?

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
