Sealed NES Super Mario Bros. fetches $3 million at auction

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Saw this post talking about an uber-rare NES Super Mario Bros. sealed game that has a sticker on it rather than being shrink-wrapped and is part of the second production run batch. It was pulled from a brand new sealed NES console set that hails from 1985: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technolo ... 9c85&ei=66 Of course, the winner of it hasn't been disclosed.

It's well-known that if you have $2 million in the bank, you can live off of the interest it generates alone.

Reminds me of certain plot twist in Brewster's Millions (specifically the 1985 film; I don't know it from any source material). When
Spoiler
the protaganist purchased a super-rare poststamp to send a mere postcard using it.
The rear gate is closed down
The way out is cut off

I see "grading" is still around... with its self-bestowed authority.
